They sent me 4 when I needed to replace mine due to age.

 

Yep that’s what happened to me. Then I had to argue with them that it wasn’t intentional, their website said it was declined 4 times and finally worked on the 5th. Of course I got billed for all 5.

I had to call them and it took a while for them to understand but finally gave in and sent me a return label so I didn’t have to pay to ship them back too..

 

I ended up eating 3, I didn't have the time to argue with them. Funny, it's the only time I had trouble with their website...actually pretty good considering it's a .gov.

Looking at my calendar, I noticed I had a hearing aid appt on the 3rd at noon. That would put me up there a lot later than I wanted. Luckily, they had a slot open at 9. That should put me up there by mid-afternoon.

 

I guess it’s a good thing all I did on their website was pay a few tolls from my drive through Rockford. I may have lost my marbles if I got billed for 5 ipasses because of their outsourced idiocy. Isn’t the illinois toll system managed by some european conglomerate or something like that?

 

All the US toll systems are interchangeable except a couple. Kansas is one of the oddballs last time I went through there.

 

I'm contemplating going up to stay at Bear Paw overnight Wed. I'm thinking of walking in to parts of the pipeline to see what's up...see if the tracks in are crews fixing areas or azzholes that won't follow signs.

 

Let us know what you see. I might go camping next weekend, and considered passing through the area.

Well, if I go up, it won't be overnight. Remember when I said we wouldn't have a dog anymore? We will have a dog again for at least a week. My son got a call yesterday evening...his mother (57) still thinks she's 27, went out mountain biking with some friends, crashed and broke her leg and is in the hospital...in Iron Mountain.

So, at 0630, he left to pick his grandmother up, and then off to Iron Mountain...assuming his mother will be released from the hospital this morning. Then, they have to go get his mother's car (wherever it is), then head to Sayner to drop his mother off and get the dog...assuming my ex won't be able to deal with the dog for at least several days.

Pisses me off. She moves 3 1/2 hours away, then expects everyone (except her boyfriend) to drop their plans to cover her azz. My son was furious. Her mother wasn't too happy either.

Wait a minute… there’s no hospital in Iron Mountain!

 

Sure there is...it's the only one for maybe 40 miles...right on US2.

Maybe unpopular opinion but .... Not your pig, not your farm.

Consequences have actions. Fafo. Had to have that discussion with my ex last year.

 

Not my pig, but she's making it my problem...indirectly. Just got off the phone with my son. She was not at the hospital, she was at the resort they were staying at...with 7 friends...none of whom would drive her back home (it might screw up their weekend). My son is furious, my ex-MIL is pretty close to the same. They are bringing her to my ex-MIL's house and her boyfriend is going to take her to the hospital in Appleton this evening.

My son said: It's probably best you didn't come along...ya think?!

 

JFC, the ex has a busted leg and none of her, ahem, ..."friends"... would take her to hospital? Either she is a vile piece of work or she needs new friends...or both. Karma is a bitch and somebody, somehow, someway will pay for this.
