I had some fox 2.5 shocks installed recently and I noticed the drivers side front was hitting the wheel well. Is this an issue? Can it be lowered without having to go back to the installer?

    thanks

    That looks like the reservoir.
If they just jammed it in there like that, I would get it to a good off-road shop or other reputable local to double check all their other work.

An off-road shop installed them. I’ll follow up with them. Are those Allen screws possible to just loosen so I can lower it? I don’t want to permanently misalign the reservoir and make the vehicle undrivable

Where would be the best place for it? Is there a place that most people will mount it? Lower seems better

This is probably an about average spot...

Isn’t the bracket designed only to hold it vertically?

The passenger side has some room. If there’s no chance the reservoir will hit body then I would be ok lowering the other one if it’s possible. I’m just not sure if there’s a better way it should have been installed. I’m not familiar with off-road components so I assumed this was the way it was supposed to be. I just noticed the left front one a few minutes ago

Probably would get some better info from people with this experience if you hop over to that fox suspension thread I linked above.

I'm sure Accutune would hop in too.

I read through the thread you linked. Thank you for the info. From all the info I got it seems like the FOX brackets just aren’t designed well. Best solution is the Accutune brackets for proper clearance?

Correct me if this is wrong but it seems like it would fix the sway bar clearance (which is didn’t even realize was a separate issue) and the fender clearance as a “two birds one stone” solution.
