Mine is 2019 M/T as well and have the same issue. I took it to Toyota around 25k miles on my odometer and they said there is nothing they can do. They greased it that helps with the noise for about 2 - 3 months. After that, I start hearing it again until now. I just turn up my music to ignore the noise.

I was the same way. One day I just found myself with time and next to auto zone. It was honestly very rewarding that a $7 -10 bottle fixed an issue that I was dreading having to deal with.

They use thin grease. You’ll have better results if you do it yourself with disc brake grease.

Thanks for the idea. By the way, does anyone know what happened if I ignore this issue? is it going to cause bigger problem in the future? More than likely I will ignore this problem.

I doubt it will cause any real problems long term to ignore. I just thought it was annoying and it’s easy enough to slather some grease where it needs it.

The cost on my repair was around $1,200 they replaced the entire pedal mechanism, the resivior and several other small parts. The service writer told me greasing it only solves the problem temporarily. If I had to pay out of pocket I would have gone the grease route, but Toyota Care picked up the tab

After 15 months of ownership I've unlocked the squeaky clutch pedal quirk this week. Mine happens at the very top of travel. I initially greased a pivot point and the spring itself with no change so I went completely ignorant and sprayed lithium lubricant at the same spots and that helped quite a bit. Spray was just easier to apply but I'm sure grease will last longer.

I just wanted to report that my dealership did honor the service bulletin posted towards the top of this thread and replaced the master clutch cyclinder and associated parts. Was very nice of them.

I had to bring it in and show them the loud noise it was regularly making. Hope this helps everyone. Truck clutch feels so much better now.

My clutch pedal started to squeak at around 12 k and looked under there and tried to see what was going on.

I just checked if anything was loose or binding. Just a little jiggle and the noise went away soon after that. I think I moved some grease around and it stopped.

I am at 41 k and still hasn't come back yet.

Noticed this happening on my 2021 OR at about 13500mi (I don't drive much) in the hot, summer weather. Went away mostly in milder weather. Threw some brake/caliper grease on the spot posted in that photo and it helped tremendously. Doesn't go away completely if you press the clutch slow enough, but it's way better than before.

This is the answer. So far has worked on my 2nd and 3rd gen squeaky clutches.

My 2022 Tacoma is making this annoying creaking noise as well. Does my truck have the updated pedal already ? I’m still under warranty. Should I have the dealer do the tsb ?

I just put a glob of water proof grease on my finger tip and smeared it between the back of the pedal and plunger. Has been quite since.

My 23 TRD Sport has had the squeaky pedal for a while now. 15000 miles. It’s going in for an oil change this week so I’ll bring up the TSB and have them do it while the truck is still under factory warranty. Will post the results. To all you fellow northern VA neighbors I’ll be doing it at Auto Nation Leesburg

Anything 2020 and later already has the latest pedal. The TSB doesn’t solve the problem and just gives you more of the same parts you have, so I would say no. There is a newer TSB that updates the master cylinder part number but the master cylinder is not a problem. There was no good reason for that to be updated.

Same with my 2019, at 39k miles. The squeak came back after 2 years at 60k.

I found applying some thin coat of white lithium grease at the push rod/boot and other joints helps.

Are you saying the dealer performed the tsb on your truck, but the pedal noise came back now?

Does brake grease help with the problem or it eliminates the problem?

I had been temporarily fixing it by spraying white lithium grease where the nub rides but the noise would come back over time. Last time it came back I found a square ended needle/syringe I had forgotten I had, and used that to directly put syl-glide grease right where it needs to go, pulling the pedal up with one hand to make a gap and using the syringe with the other. It's been quiet since. You can get grease gun needle attachments that would work too.

Yes, it was done at dealer, clutch pedal assembly was replaced with a new one. I use use white lithium grease because that's what I have and it's stickier then most.
