That’s awesome. Does he have any social media stuff on the build. Would love to check it out.

This guy across the pond did a LS2 swapped MX5. One of the cleaning Miata swaps I’ve seen.

Sounds wonderful! I love that stuff!

A good friend of mine is retired from owning a couple auto parts stores and started a side business, pattonmachine.com. He has a 75 TR6 that he changed from side draft Stromberg carbs to multi-port fuel injection then he added a Mercedes supercharger. He used my 1971 TR6 as his test mule to develop inserts that allow for fuel injection for side draft carburetors since he could no longer use his own car because of his modifications. He has sold a ton of kits for everything from British classics, Jaguars, Z cars and even a Unimog. He is currently working on a 1975 TVR that he has put a Landrover Defender II engine in. When I visit I just hold the work light or wrap a wire loom.

    @RustyGreen and @Tacoma Mike...
I know less about cars than a newborn baby does, but its still very interesting to read other about people's interests. Please keep up the great work.

    +1!

that's half the reason i started that 'simple' and 'free' trailer build that's now somewhere north of $3k in parts... i can't leave anything alone, or do it the simple way. but i've also got so many idea's rattling around in my head, i need an outlet to at least try all those idea's somehow as well.

there's absolutely no fun for me in fixing something to end up with what everyone else has(even a 2000gt!). i need to challenge myself to be doing something that i've never done before and get something unique out of it in the end.

next project is definitely going to be a flat bed truck conversion with full airbag system, which will have major packaging issues. much of the trailer is learning some of the stuff like axle pivots and the like for that later build...

    Morning folks :pccoffee:

Looks like I missed live reporting on Rusty's adventure :pout:

    None-the-less...

Gotta start taking apart the oil boiler. It appears the fire box lining deteriorated and is getting into the back wall itself. It's a 50/50 shot of it being salvageable or shot so I got to take off the burner assembly to get a better look inside. Better to get this all done now before winter hits. Nothing like a potential $10,000 hit in the wallet, but that's part of home ownership. I do know a retired master plumber that is going to guide me through this mess. Same guy who helped me on the half bath project. Now if I can just get @RustyGreen down here for help, since he DOES like travel... :D

Good morning everyone, I hope you have a pleasant Sunday :hattip:

Gonna start me a wedding avoidance kit. @Fargo Taco , I’ll need the brand name of your wife’s lotion. @StayinStock, :hattip:for the ABIS soap

I’m open for other substances with similar affects :D

Here here Pz, pro move Fargo convincing your wife to swap lotions the day of the wedding. What a shame to have missed it. I'm going to file that one away.

She didn't want to risk touching it again so it's in the garbage already. And I'm not digging it out.
All her doing. I think she didn't want to go, but this is a heck of a way to get out of it!

Or maybe she just didn't want to be seen with me...

In all seriousness though, allergic reactions can be deadly as you and her both know, so finding out what allergen is in the lotion would seem important, especially to avoid in other products in the future.

    Alright so...

Took off the burner assembly and my initial look was all wrong. Fire box lining is still in place, albeit a little cracked up. It could probably go a couple more seasons without replacing the lining. Just gonna bite the bullet and rip into it. Nozzle and assembly also looked really clean. Although someone threw a 1.00 GPH nozzle in there, for only a 1200sqft house. Definitely oil company o_O

EDIT: This is going to be a fun project o_O

or it was for the wife that kept turning up the thermostat, convinced that it'll make the house heat up faster...
