All good just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I think to do a traction bar Id need a smaller muffler so I would only do it if I had to

Yeah that's what it seems. I've got a urd pipe I still have to toss on to clear the low profile skids. Might do the back at the same time just to allow for the option to do this.

Can't say I'm familiar with this term. What do they mean by frenching? Like weld it with my tongue buried in the frame?

~Determine how far - if at all - you want to french the front hangers into the frame. Consider the following, which may be either pros or cons depending on your perspective ~

So your welding new brackets onto the frame and most would just place it on the bottom
Leg of the c channel and burn it on.

Frenching is cutting out some of the bottom leg and some of the vertical part of the c channel to embed the bracket into the frame

pros are lower ride hieght more than likely
Won’t get caught up on rocks with the bracket

cons- not really reccomended for c channel frames. Id box it if I were to go that direction

Right. At that point you're better gusseting the channel the width of the bracket and tying into there.

Must be a regional term. Lol. Between structural welding, to decades of pipe welding and aerospace welding, I've never heard the term French haha.

Also I think I want a Trac bar, these springs seem to be very prone to axle wrap so the more I can do to prevent it the better I say. There's someone in the LT thread that has one on a spring under setup but i can't remember who

There might be room, granted this is second gen.

Might be able to bias it towards the pinion sense they will always move together

New England peeps - you have any idea about some kind of tradition of putting a little piece of trim on the top of interior doorways???

They aren't attached, and it's on all the doorways that were done at the same time

Heads up to anyone who might want to know, Dirt King is updating their tubular EDIT: UCAs to a new style with new whizz-bang superteknik spaceship bushings, and phasing out the current/"old" style that use nonproprietary bushings.

If you're thinking about DK uppers, may want to get them now while the old style is still available - I can't help but be haunted by the SPC dumpster fire. FWIW my current/"old" DK tubulars are boss as fuck and I highly recommend them.
