Yup I see that, here they jump on you about it, I got pulled over a week ago because my stock lights are so sun faded that the cop said he could barely read it....meanwhile homeless are stealing from Neighbors and stores 2 blocks from where I was pulled over.....:annoyed:

I like the look of the DK one, its very light, has a nice plate mount with lights. getting hit though.....not too sure

I think the mazulla looks better without the wings on trucks that have the portion below the tails filled in.

You can always use those bolt style LEDs if you ever have an issue.

I laser cut some SS brackets to bolt a BD rock light above a license plate. Uses license plate bolts. Might have one left. DM me if anyone is interested.

I just have a license plate frame with the lights built in. Super easy.

I gotta get one of those. My plate is zip tied to my bumper with no lights and no CA front plate. It’s a wonder I haven’t been pulled over.

I missed the boat several pages back when we were talking brake banjo contact to the bypass mounts on the JD LCA at full steer lock, full droop. Is that only on the 4” kit?
This is full droop (strapped) and full lock (you can see the balljoint adapter smashing the LCA in the pic)
There’s about 3/8” clearance to the banjo, and I find it hard to believe the upright deforms enough under load to have those hit.
I’ve been minorly annoyed with the steering angle reduction so trying to figure out if something is wrong or different in my setup.

No, it happened to me on the 2.25” kit.

JD made a revision to the kit and made the LCA wider to prevent the issue. I have an older kit.

Would explain you loss of steering

I wasn't making contact with stock brakes on my 2.25" kit but I do on the Powerbrakes. It's a new revision I imagine, installed in January at JD. There's a small nick in my LCA from the banjo making contact.

I'll probably go to a Tundra rack or maybe 74Weld's here shortly which will limit my steering and I'll just, uh, carry a spare banjo and fluid for the mean time, I guess.

Jesse had warned me that I’d need to adjust steering stops with the powerbrake kit so I assume it’s still a known thing.

Oh I missed the note about the change I guess. Glad I don’t have to worry about that at least.
As for loss of steering angle I never measured before and after so I don’t have concrete evidence or numbers but it sure feels like I don’t get as many turns on the wheel as before LT. Also I had to do a lot of back and forth on tight switchbacks which was embarrassing on black bear pass in front of a 4Runner lol.
As I said minor inconvenience and I’m sure the CVs enjoy having to work less angles but been surprised it’s not mentioned more often. Now that I brought it up again I’ll take a pic of full lock on this truck vs the daily driver bone stock third gen and maybe I can quantify the difference

Ok hopefully I don’t screw up the order posting these photos. Looks like at the steering wheel I’m missing about 180 degrees of travel on each end of stroke. That is of course unless the steering rack ratio of a 2020 sport is not the same as a 2022 SR, but I don’t recall ever hearing about ratio differences.

first set of pics is left cut on the LT blue truck (on slide plates) and steering wheel angle
2nd set is the bone stock silver SR on asphalt, but with engine running and power steering pumping with one hand holding to end of stroke

    then same with right cutE6E1E348-AF6A-4C02-A32A-A512F63AF909.jpg 96D43D39-5AA0-4CE2-AD6F-87F1979CEFE3.jpg 494D33E7-23A9-4B78-AF6A-32027BE40CB2.jpg 03D466B1-70EE-41F5-BEEC-C592DFB8378D.jpg
