Favorite Whiskey?

I also try to find reviewers with a similar palate to mine.

But on the grain to glass the reviews almost universally said the wheated was the star and the other two were just ok.

I have the wheater and I enjoy it.

 

Old Fitz + Pebble

 

This fella got passed around the neighborhood group last night as we officially say adios to summer. School starts back up Monday.

Such a delicious, classic pour. Shame it’s not made any more.

Mondays suck and this bottle reminds me of a wonderful vacation with my wife.




Question for the group. Local place has an Old Fitz 10 BIB for $400. What do these go for on the secondary and should I consider it?

I have always lusted after the Old Fitz decanter bottle and consider it one of my unicorns, but have never even seen one for sale locally until now.

 

400 is a tad high…they can be had for 350ish privately. And that’s with no tax.

 

As far as should you consider: Never once has Fitz impressed me.

Spend half as much on a Weller FP in my opinion.
