Setting aside the phone mount, I’d reconsider the choice of brake controller. The idea is good but having to fumble with a phone, mounted or not, seems like it negates the purpose of having an emergency braking function.

Your brakes aren’t either on or off, they are incremental. Being able to move a lever or dial a little or a lot can mean the difference between the braking you need and too much or too little.

It is your truck and trailer, but please consider all of the options other than phone tech because it is more than you on the road out there.

I second the taco garage dmm. They also have one that mounts by the driver left hand ac vent. But you might have to drill some holes in the dash. Below is the link for the drivers side mount:

    None (yet)
I just installed one of these with the wireless charging cradle. Would like to find a way to cleanly route the USB cable through/behind the trim panel around the head unit. It seems like there's plenty of open space, but I'd need to cut or file a couple openings to keep the cable from getting pinched. Has anyone done this and have a photo of how?

I've had the DMM from Taco Garage for almost two years now and absolutely love it. Super sleek and looks OEM. Easy installation. Definitely recommended!

I was looking at it thinking the same thing! I have your guys dash mounts in my Tacoma and 4Runner…I love them both! I’ve recommended them to many people. Both are very easy to install with basic skills and tools. Being an aircraft mechanic and sheet metal guy I wished I’d thought of this design myself.

Anyone considering the 67 designs taco rail, I'd recommend against the phone holder. Some idiot designed the phone holder with VERY SHARP edges. This is the back of my case. Someday I suspect I'll be in a hurry and I'll probably ruin the camera lens.
