It’s a ref# 116234. Made from 2004 through 2016. I don’t recall what year this particular watch is to be honest with you. 2013-ish if I remember correctly.

I looked for this reference in particular because I preferred the larger lugs over the newer model slim lug. Gives a little more wrist presence in my opinion.

Wearing one of the Old Mans watches today. He passed in 09, accurate and reliable but it can go thru batteries like Charlie Sheen thru a line of coke. Once a year, I like to keep it running.

just a couple of things tbh
Not super big into watches but my buddy I ride with got me this so I can see time better while riding it's a nice little watch. Also kinda neat that it's titanium and I have titanium in that wrist lol. I'd like a different band for it that doesn't rip my hair out all the time so recommendations would be great! I do also have two old watchs that were given to me after a family member died I can send pics later but I know nothing about them or how to get them working again.

Did what I always do, back to old reliable. I got a love hate relationship with this SKA371, it weighs 7 oz, the capacitor is failing, and I still pick over everything else I got. Freakin kinetic, bracelet rattles a little, lost the lume in the bezel but the lume on the hands and pips still lights up the room at night, its 9 years old, keeps within a second a month and never pulls a hair on my arm. I have spent a year looking for one I prefer more, havent found it.

I don't care how much I like watch style. I always replace the band with a silicone band.

I, and I'm sure many here do not even consider the band when rating a watch.

Haha ya for me it's about comfort and man the metal bands hurt! I've gotten use to it but it's so annoying! I was thinking maybe a leather one but idk how they hold up from sweat since it can get hot out when riding the cruiser lol.

I prefer the metal bracelet, I have a silicone on a few as well as a few leathers, but given my druthers, would take metal.

I don't remove my watch every night, so I get annoyed with metal bands pinching.

I got 25 years of shift work under my belt. I always needed to know what day it was.( I did not miss type). Working the night shift, you never really knew if it was yesterday, today or tomorrow. Easier to just leave the watch on. Hence my appreciation of silicone bands.

I'm with you on not removing, I only remove to change to something else (and a hot water and degreaser scrub with a toothbrush for the divers). I have as of late been wearing a few that I wont shower in, but I have more divers than anything. People go on about Seiko bracelets rattling, but never had a Seiko pull hairs, after market I have not been so lucky

Anniversary present yesterday. I gave my wife the same watch in 35mm and she gave me the 40mm.
