Depending on the depth you might be able to put the stainless steel cup holders in like we have in our boat.

Low actually, just under 12,800 miles. Well below the Toyota recommended 30,000 for normal driving.
I had heard that factory fill was often a little low due to the various diffs they put in. A little less than 4qts came out of a 4.2qt diff, with a long drain time.
I was disappointed with the quality of oil that came out considering its lack of abuse.
I'm in the process of going through and checking/changing out all the factory oils as a precautionary measure.

Have not set it up yet, but found a right line gear tailgate canopy on clearance at fleetfarm last night. Should make a good addition for tailgating for my daughters dance team.

Would you want them draining into the tailgate though?

Is not hard to either seal the hole or use the fittings they come with that accept plastic pipe to drain them externally like you're supposed to on the boat.

i would be getting the solid bottom, no drain. There's enough room for the deep/standard style cupholder, but I will likely get shallow ones. easier to clean out.

This weekend I strengthened the joint of my tailgate auto lock by adding a cotter pin. It was always jumping off that little nub.20240825_185306.jpg

I have learned from disassembling several laser printers with 100s of tiny screws that you should try tightening 1st in order to break the seal on the bolt or screw.

I hit mine with a 3/8 impact and it came off after a couple seconds. Sometimes impact is better than constant torque.

Took care of this nanny "feature"

    And the install

Have the disc on the way for the final mod but no leaks so far on the line and the clutch engagement is sooooo much smoother now.

Always seems counter productive but in my aviation maintenance career I’ve found this to be very useful

Got the canopy setup to test and figure out the best ways to put it together each time. Not too bad for $40. Its designed for open beds without a topper, but seems to work just fine with the topper too.

Get one of these best way to remote it, you hit the back with a hammer. It really helps with breaking bits or rounding bolts. I only used mine 3-4x but they are a lifesaver

Was your torx bit rated for impact? Non impact sockets are much more likely to break on a impact.

It was not. But it lasted a few minutes while in service. :notsure:</WhereIsBigHammerGuyIconWhenYouNeedHim?> You know, everything looks like a nail when your only tool is a hammer? Hahah.
