I call bullshit. Heated foot pedals? LOL Must be for driving barefoot in winter.

There was no factory heated wheel for the Tacoma, I searched high and low for a compatible OEM clock spring for the Tacoma that would support the power needed for the heating elements, and there isn't one. No shop manual or online documentation on TIS mentions anything other than heated seats and outside mirrors.

    HUGE BS !!
You COULD NOT get heated steering wheel, door handles and/or foot pedals for a 3rd gen Tacoma in Canada

"Heater steering wheel" for what year models ? If you mean 2024 that is gen 4 and this is a gen 3 2016-2023 Tacoma forum.

^Well yes, this year being 2024. 3rd gen was discontinued a year ago. My post was simply in response to Okkine 2.0's "I don't think a heated steering wheel has ever been an option in the Tacoma"

Yeah the only ones I’ve seen done are the kits pictured as above, one intensive install of a guy on here doing the 4Runner clock spring, airbag, etc, and another intensive install on here of a guy wrapping his own heating element underneath a homemade steering wheel cover…

I used to work in parts at Toyota and I too looked pretty intensively for an OE heated steering wheel… 4Runner mod was the closest it came from what I saw. For 3rd gen’s, at least.

maybe the 4th gen steering wheel will be plug and play?:notsure:

I like the one I linked in my previous post. There is a great video install and the switch to turn it on fits in the dash, looks OEM.

Finally getting around to post some pics for the heated steering wheel. Been installed awhile now and no problems. It gets hotter than my heated seats, Don't know actual temp. Install was easy if you follow the video from earlier post. Just make sure the back plastic cover tabs are latched on posts for a snug fit. The heating element is all the way around wheel.

That is the one I had on order but they sent the wrong one being in all black. Waiting for the new and need to find a spot for the smaller switch as the only opening is the larger switch blank opening on the left side of the dash is my issue. Might put it in the QI charger spot.

My first set was with red stitching, but they didn’t have a clock spring for the 3rd gen Tacoma. They thought it was the same as the 4Runner, but different. So I got another set with red stitching and 4Runner clock spring. Being one of the first to buy, they sent me another 3rd gen Tacoma clock spring. (2 sets)Have fun with your heated steering wheel, nice on cold mornings. Goes well with heated seats.
    IMG_2687.jpg
4Runner clock spring. It has a green clip you pull after installing, engaging it to rotate. The Tacoma clock spring has a center that is pressed down when installing steering wheel engaging clock spring to rotate.

May be too early to tell, but how's the quality of the steering wheel leather? The link says it's ABS? Does it have a more padded feeling compared to the OEM?

Appears to be like factory material, but it’s a little bigger in diameter. I do like the feel. It’s heated all the way around steering wheel. It has a small flat on bottom.
