    From what I’ve read/searched

    -belts/buckles are different
Unk if belts will mount on each other’s floor mounts
-bretts seat frame seats have those adapters I have read about
-he is going to post additional pix if ness

    Any advice would be appreciated
    thanks TW

might have to meet up and do a test fit. From what I've read it's hit or miss, ext cabs should have all the mounting holes for buckets or bench while single cabs have less drilled holes, but... I have factory buckets so no idea. For sure the seat belts have to go with the seats.

Bolt holes on the floor will be the same.

The seat side of the buckle needs to follow the seat--the 60/40 bench will have a soft mount that affixes to the floor while the bucket has a hard mount that attaches to the seat.

I think the cab side of the belt will be different because you're mixing regular cab and extended cab.

The male/female parts of the buckle might be compatible. I've never seen an exact explanation of when/why the buckles changed, but my theory is that they changed as safety equipment changed. Neither the 1996 or 1998 will have explosive pretensioners, so you don't need to worry about that at least.

I think I got my info from your post, thanks for confirming lol. Hopefully I have the soft mount point for the seatbelt? assuming it's under the carpet and I may need to cut a hole in the carpet.

Single cabs are only missing the holes when they came with a full-width bench from the factory. Those trucks have all four outer holes (for the seat) and the two inner-rear holes (for the seat belts) but are missing the inner-front holes because there's nothing attached there. If they came with buckets they have all eight holes.

Nice, I guess the 60/40 split bench is closer in design to the bucket seats than to a bench seat. I figured it would be the other way--bad assumption my part. Glad you double-checked!

Does the 60/40 split bench have a center buckle?

If not, you might be able to swap the seat-side buckles. If there is one, check to see if it mounts separately from the other belts--maybe you can swap the outer belts and leave the middle with the bench seat.

I can't say if you'll be able to mix the buckles and receivers. The buckles do look different in the photos you posted between this thread and your B/S/T thread, but maybe the differences are just cosmetic?

You're at the edge of my knowledge here, so at some point you'll just have to meet up and see. If you do, report back on how it goes--I'm curious.
