    Blew a 800 yard stock after crawling through a high country sage field, creek and up a hill.

    Got to 100y of this dude using the tree on the bottom left as cover until I was able to drop in the ravine, then the wind thermals switched on me. He never heard me, he stood up started blowing, and left me with a 95 yard shot.

    which wouldn’t have been a problem. I’ve made that shot before, but bro, I was tired. My shoulder was done from crawling and dragging my bow around for a 3 miles hike, then the stalk. I accidentally broke my shot high, and missed.

    it would have been nice to have had a break if the wind hadn’t shifted, but that’s hunting.
