I'd love a 4.0 in the 1st Gen. My 09 was still going great with 190k miles until I flipped it on the Hwy.
I've considered getting another 2nd gen as a daily driver

Love my 2nd gen. Especially as a daily, 1st gen is still more fun to drive.

Funny how you never directly answered my question of why I should look at a second gen.

The 3.4 with a blower is a glorious engine. Makes ok power, has a lot of personality, and has been dead nuts reliable, all wrapped up in a small truck that has everything I want. So no, I haven't looked at a second gen and have no desire to. The third gen I owned was mediocre, the second gens aren't much different and way too big. Some days you will learn that what is in paper (or in your case, written online) doesn't tell the whole story. There's a reason I still have my truck after the 12 other cars I've owned over the last 14 years.
Such experience, much knowledge, super knowledgeable.

I made some cowboy caviar and now I can't stop eating it. Gotta save some for tomorrow. If anyone wants the recipe, it's delicious, I use it as a dip. Good to serve in audiences that can't handle spice when you still want to serve something with flavor. You can obviously add more avocado or onion or if you do want to add some spice to it some peppers. I tend to add a lot more garlic too.

    1 can black beans drained
    1 can corn drained
    1 avocado chopped
3 cloves garlic minced (chop up really small)
1 red onion chopped (we have used yellow onion, works fine)
1/2 squeezed lemon or lime (we've used both, either works we usually use the whole lemon/lime)
1/4 tsp oregano (can leave out if you don't have it, I have forgotten to use it before)
    2 tomatoes chopped
1/4 cup cilantro washed and chopped
    salt and pepper to taste

Sounds fun! I haven't skated in a while, tried quad skates last summer and discovered I only ever knew how to ice skate and inline blade. Couldn't control the quads to save my life
