Hot Wheels

Sorry to disappoint everyone but I only have 18 on that chart. I counted my 55s this morning and had 64 in the display case and 10 more I just picked up Saturday. Because they are so hard to find in this area, I just make my own. I won't pay ransom prices neither like I saw Saturday in the vulture pit at the Hartville Flea market. 3 guys all set up beside each other asking $15 for Hot Wheels I paid $2 for over on the other side just when the place opened. Some of the cars on Kilo's list were going for $65. One of the vultures was doing wheel swaps and trying to get $60 as customized versions. I can do that myself for less than $5.

Anyone wanting to try wheel swaps it's very easy with plastic bottom Hot Wheels. Drill out the rivets and pop the wheels out with a small screwdriver. Then snap the new ones in. Some guys tap the studs and install new screws. I try not to grind the studs down so they will snap back in place and use automotive emblem adhesive to hold them together with no issues.
Metal bottoms are another story but can be done as well. M2s are a pain in the butt.

Starting a custom for my bro! A little tribute to his taco. I know the HW isn’t a Tacoma but gunna make it look pretty close to his, minus the twin turbos. Started stripping the water slide graphics off. Found some replica enkeis as well. I'll post the progress

 

Speaking of silverados.. wheel swapped this from a peg warmer chevelle starwars wagon . $2 for premiums so I loaded up for the wheels.
