These incompetent crooks left my oil cap off. Drove about 100 miles without it… :-/

Where do I go from here ?

first time they did an oil change it was leaking oil after … this was my Last one with them… and I did 2 of my own.

just complete clowns. Pathetic and incredibly disappointing.

Update 1: Dealer Sent a filter, cap and oil to my house the next day
Update 2: Oil filter was there, oil change was performed, both O rings were there, Skid bolts were too tight but rest of the oil change was ok.

    Good one ;)

should I ask for another oil change ? I’m hesitant they will brick my truck completely

I'd take it back and show your service advisor and ask him, WTAF.

So do I drive it again without an oil cap … or do I take another car and ask them to believe me …

No oil cap won’t have hurt anything. The question is if it’s worth your time to go back and complain or to just spend $9 at AutoZone?

Why go back for a round 2 if they screwed up round 1?

Why wouldn’t it ? Engine internals are exposed to the open air… if there is a crankcase vacuum
It would have sucked in crap… but I don’t know that to be the case

Maybe, but the oil changes will rarely be performed by anyone other than a novice. Never worth it IMO.

Sure, I did 2 on my own and let them do the other 2. Since they are “free” and I figured it would be good to have written proof of service

Like, 2 oil filters, handful of cabin filters (dealer wouldn’t change mine unless I took everything out of the glove box) wiper blade inserts. Real basic shit they would just hand over. Maybe if you’re feeling thirsty, go for some Black lug nuts.

Obviously not. Shame on me. I actually checked the oil when I first took it home but I missed the fact that the damn cap was missing because I wasn’t even looking at the right part of the engine until 2 weeks later during my routine check up
