Insurance adjusters will tell you the price. Every accident is different, including damage and repairs. Insurance will have you take it to a shop, shop will evaluate all damage and provide insurance with an itemized list of repairs needed(w/ costs too). Tacoma frames are notorious for blending/folding at the impact zones, and they are on a nationwide back order for 4 months currently. Hopefully it’s just cosmetic and not structural.

What are you asking? Salvage price? Regardless the insurance company will tell you what they are willing to give you.

I’ve been told the amount of repaired cost insurance vs body shop.. I’m wondering is there some kinda forumla to now value the vehicle as it is once repaired compared to loss value from before damage repairs .. if that makes sense

Looked up diminished value. Just wondering what a 19 SR utility 4x2. 20k miles. 15.2k worth of damage would be worth once repaired.

the insurance company makes that decision since they are paying for it
if you want to do it yourself then dont file a claim and pay for repairs yourself

That will depend on what the buyer is willing to pay, obviously.

If you're talking about what will the insurance company payout if you total it again, that's another story you'll need to take up with your individual insurance company.

    makes no sense

their own secret? formula includes what your truck is worth not damaged , and what it cost to repair......they will figure if its worth fixing......if its a total loss its their truck after they pay you off......and the value of it then is whatever it brings at an auction (unknown)

Fair point. Don’t plan on selling it, especially now. Just had wondered if value could be determined. Thank you for replies and help.

Best thing to do is have the vehicle appraised by a 3rd party vender

It’s a really hard thing to fight for… and frequently results in a middle finger from the insurance. Unless you give up weeks of your life talking to bumpkins

If the truck is fixed correctly and you sell it private party you may not lose any money.
What I can guarantee if if you trade it to a dealer they will leverage the trade value based on the accident. There’s no formula, it’s open season…… they will either try and steal it from you or not want it at all.

In 2019 I was trading in my wife's Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for a new Trailhawk. The dealer was going by Kelly Blue Book when offering money for the trade. The Jeep had no visible scratches or dents, the interior was close to mint, new tires and brakes. The offer was really low, and they qualified that based on Kelly Blue Book. I looked at the Kelly Blue Book value and noticed it said it was for the Jeep in "FAIR" condition. The Jeep was in excellent condition and I questioned the Kelly Blue Book valuation. I discovered that the valuation was based off the fact that the Jeep was in an accident. The accident did happen, but it only involved my rear trailer hitch bike rack (I backed into the front end of another vehicle while exiting a parking spot), The jeep had no damage, not even to the bike rack. My point is, they tried to use the fact that the Jeep was involved in an accident to de-value my trade. After we agreed that the report also stated "no apparent damage to vehicle" they gave me Kelly Blue Book value with an excellent rating. That was about a $5000.00 difference. Just the fact that the vehicle was in an accident gave the dealer an excuse to lowball the trade-in.
