Did another round of cleaning up wiring. Truck is happier for it. I still have it up for sale with my eye on a Titan.

Scored a free 3-liter Camelbak Stoaway, found that I didn't really need it in my hiking backpack, but also found that I no longer need as many cupholders.

2.5" OME lift, Fox 2.5 coil overs, all pro expo leafs, ubolt flip kit w/ upgraded bump stops, 1.25" wheel spacers, 16" Bronze KMC Impact OL wheels, 295/75/r16 Nitto grapplers, beige Softopper, Brute force front bumper w/smittybilt winch, RCI rear bumper, caliraised rock sliders, TRD IFS skid plate custom swingout tailgate w/spare tire mount, TC bed stiffeners, Magnum force CAI, KC spotlights, tacomabeast headlights, rear seat molle panel odds and ends, hi lift, MESO interior lights, and a fuck load of patches… more planned for later.
Just a heads up those rubber pieces on the corners tend to wear through and/or slide off after a while so either have some spares on deck or consider a different mount as they start to wear out.

    Little this, Little that.
Super easy to do man. Clean the area with alcohol and a rag.
The curve (more cut part) points to the front.
In a spray bottle mix 50/50 dish soap and water, spray on the back of the vinyl and spray on your vehicle. Makes it easier to move around and press out air pockets.
Center to door trim, Use a hard plastic squeegee to press out the liquid, will dry out in time.

Anyone know of any good write ups about the back axle? Swapping an offroad axle on my sport. Really just don't know about the parking brake hookup.

I'm sure I'll figure it out when I get into it, just wanna study a bit

So the only thing the oven cleaner did to this chrome part was thoroughly clean it... maybe it wasn't the right product. Anyways, I decided to scratch the heck out of it instead so the paint had something to stick to.

    20240826_155845.jpg

After 3 coats each of primer/paint/clear, the finish is far from perfect, but the colour is dead on, and overall job is pretty good enough for me. Gonna wait a few days for everything to cure before installing.

Continued my de-chroming efforts by attacking the grill emblem. Didn't want to simply paint it black. Thought a chrome black finish would be neat. Went with the duplicolor shadow chrome kit. Didn't turn out quite as shiny as I imagined but I still like it better than the factory chrome. I will say that the factory chrome is a good contrast to the red TRD badge but I prefer the subtle aggression of the blacked out look. Next and finally will be the chrome emblems on the wheel center caps. Going to first paint the rims black. Getting blank center caps and thinking of doing small red toyota or TRD decals on em. Been wanting a brake light that incorporates a rear facing camera into the bed when hauling stuff but no one seems to want to take the challenge and develop on. I’ve asked Eko design a while back and few other sites and no go. Even offered to provide the camera.

New wheels and new to me tires installed while I was on vacation. Practically new tires besides the mud/dirt stains. My buddy had them at his shop from a previous owner that purchased them, didn’t like them after a weekend of wheeling and went with KM3s.

Same buddy installed @ARCHIVE HD rear leaf springs. Now I have what seems like their whole catalog on the rear end. Sitting a little high at the moment so hoping when I get the @outgearsolutions HC swing out bumper, it’ll bring the rear end even with the front.

Purchased two complete sets of flares after butchering my stock ones. Going to have the mounts reinforced so the tabs don’t break and properly trimmed.

    IMG_1357.jpg

    IMG_1356.jpg

And the best mod…had someone on Etsy design a phone mount for the unused cubby section under the A/C that just collected trash most of the time and unnecessary stuff. I normally have hands free on and DND when I’m driving. Turned out pretty cool imo

You have piqued my interest. What tires are you running? I’d love to see!
