2023 Taco battery has died twice and needed a jump. When it is dead and starting it is attempted it just clicked. Battery tests fine. It is under warranty but away and not near a dealer. Any thoughts?

could be anything. check the voltage at the terminals when truck is running. if alternator is ok should be about 13.7 or higher. use simple volt meter.
might also check parasitic current draw at terminals when truck not running.
i don't know your level of knowledge, but generally any decent VOM would make both those tests pretty easily.

how are you testing the battery? simple at rest voltage is not a good test. many auto parts stores will test it for free.

    edit: ...and welcome.

BTW: the clicking is probably the starter solenoid doing its thing but there is not enough power to get the engine rotating.

    Load tested?
How often does it sit and how long are your drives? Modern vehicles have lots going on using battery, even when sitting.
My GF’s parents are going through this- 2.5 yo Honda CRV with 4k miles. Her father started driving it more often due to the battery dying,,, come to find out, he was making it worse by driving 2 miles for beer and lottery.
I put a Norco battery maintainer on it, and so far no problems. Oh, and yes he did take it to the dealer twice, where they load tested and told him the same thing.

Remove the both terminal ends and clean the connection, charge battery. Start with this first then if you are still having issues you will need to charge battery, remove the surface charge by turning on headlights for 15 seconds, then load test the battery with a carbon pile not by one of those electronic testers. Find the CCA on the battery load the battery with the carbon pile 1/2 of the CCA for 15 seconds and voltage should not go below 9.6 volts. If all test good you might have high resistance in the battery cable to the started and you will need to do a voltage drop test.

My wife's 2016 RAV had a battery die when it was new.
She hit a modest bump in the road, and it shorted/murdered the factory battery.
    I'm told it happens.

    When you say :
    • "Battery tests fine."
Test may not be reliable and battery could still be bad.
    • "It is under warranty but away and not near a dealer. Any thoughts?[/QUOTE]"
What kind/brand battery? If it's Toyota oem then any Toyota dealer can do warranty and replace. Doesn't have to be the dealer you use. If it's a common brand name then any place that sells that brand can do warranty replacement for you.
