    255/85/16 really liking them. I can barely notice the difference between these and the stockers. Definitely less stiff then my old Toyo open country AT.

    Looking great from the side, any photos from the front and back? I am thinking of going this size for myself but with the trd 16” oem rims. Any rub and suspension upgrade?

    Has anyone tested the AT4 in Deep Snow? I am getting close to needing new tires, but not sure how well they do in deep snow compared to a BFG K02/3 or Duratrac/RT?
    Looking at the 255/85R16

    Were your toyos stock size or other. It would be interesting that a 58lb tire in 255/85 would have less rigidity than a similar sized Toyo. But if you’re comparing to a stock size, then I suppose it. Ames sense.

    Weight doesn't necessarily have to mean extra stiffness. I went from 255/85 G003's to AT4W's. AT4W's are a little heavier but WAY softer. Sidewalls felt about the same thickness when I felt them with my hands but AT4W's felt like they could have been slightly thicker. But I realize that method is about as accurate as a butt dyno :)

    My toyos were on my last set of rims and were 287/70/17 and E rated.

    Haven't done an actual MPG test but definitely notice a difference in power (as expected). I went from on the fence about getting a tune to definitely getting one.

    Also zero offset rubs.

    I went with the 255/85r16 and my mileage increased greatly according to TorquePro. It's claiming 7 mpg increase which seems a bit exaggerated but I am getting about two more days out of a tank per week.

    Yeah after going to 255/85 my computer has been saying 26 mpg.... I don't believe it. I'll trip a full tank and see what it really is.

    Yeah, exactly! mine went from a STEADY(city/highway/mountains/wheeling both on TorquePro as well as the trip guage) 16mpg to 23mpg. I need to reset and see but I keep forgetting. I will do it on the next full tank.

    Agreed, I was just following the loose assumption of more weight = more stiffy.

    This looks absolutely great and exactly the stance I'm hoping to get with the same tires. Can you confirm your suspension setup and offset? I'm planning to use stock OR rims and hope the positive helps me avoid any rubbing issues until I can do an Eibach Pro 2R lift and Icon Multirate rear leaf pack suspension lift. I also have a smart cap with a decked system in the back so stock suspension needs a bit more help there. Hoping I can upgrade tires first though and wait until after winter to do the rest if the 255 AT4Ws will place nice.

    Welcome any of your longer term impressions and experience.

    I have Bilstein 6112 up front set at 1.4" of lift (notch 7 ) with 1/4 spacers on BOTH sides for a total of 1.9" lift.

    ICON RXT in back with 5100's got me exactly 2" with my SmartCap. I went with option 1 because I wanted the most plush ride as possible. Let me tell you this setup is like butter. The RXT'S are such a better ride than an AAL. HOWEVER if I could do it again I'd start with RXT option 2. I have a SmartCap and bed mat which put me at just under 200lbs in the bed so it doesn't take much to start to sag the springs. You probably want to start on Option 2 and if you load the bed often maybe even option 3. I'll pulling the springs and changing them to option 2 soon.

    I have a little rubbing with the zero offset wheels and feel pretty confident you wouldn't have any with stock OR wheels (lots of happy people in the forum). I'm hoping the heat gun treatment is going to eliminate rubbing for me.

    As far as the AT4s go, I barely notice the difference in road noise and have no complaints about them being "stiff". Discount tire set the PSI to 34 and they seem fine. I do notice a loss in power and stopping distance and find myself reaching for the ECT button more frequently. I see a tune in my near future.

    Very excited to test these tires out in the snow!

    That is hugely helpful, particularly your experience with the RXT options. I have about 550 lbs static in the bed with SmartCap, Decked Drawers, Fridge, and gear so thinking Option 3 might be a good starting point as well. Nice to have that flexibility. Re: the tire, I'm glad to hear your experiences have been good so far. The very first thing I did when I bought the truck is get an OTT tune (I think I did it at 800 miles) and has been a game changer in how nice it is to drive. Highly recommended. After making the switch to larger tires, I will definitely be touching base with my tuner and have him update the tune to the new tire size. Thanks again for the info!

    Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
    I don't know why everyone gets so worked up over weight. I'm not racing or running washboard at any kind of speed...I don't notice the weight. Sure a heavier tire takes a bit more to get rolling from a stop, but once you're moving, you have inertia on your side. Stopping is a non-issue, your brakes are much stronger than you think.

    When I read this I feel like you're driving a completely different truck from me. My heavier and larger wheels/tires have yielded worse acceleration (this is a safety concern, nothing to do with "racing"), worse mpg and worse stopping. These trucks are slow and stop terribly even with stock weight wheels/tires and it only gets worse as you pack on the weight. Lighter would definitely be better but like most things in life, there are trade offs. I've come to terms with this compromise but it doesn't mean I like it.
