    ...yeah that's me-after 10 years of me jumping in and out of this truck my right boot has worn through the doorsill weatherstrip and took the paint down there to the bare metal.. tried the aluminum tape and that hokey carbon fiber crap tape-wore through that too:( and I just cannot bring myself to be aware of lifting my foot past there every time.
    So I am envisioning some thicker actual metal but bendable stikon type 3m type diamondplate looking stuff? Have any of you seen anything I could apply to this problem out there?

    oo gees that's not a bad idea-wonder how much the RhinoLiner guy would charge to put a nice thick patch there-good thinking. I have it in the bed and it's tough stuff.

    OK I will look for it-is it the real deal? I don't want an imitator that wears through right away cause you cannot peel that stuff off once applied.

    Herculiner is some good stuff, I have it on my rocker panels and it is holding up very well. I think it would work very well in that spot at protecting it from you getting in and out.

    Mine is wearing in the same exact spot. I'm not worried so much about the paint but I priced a new door seal from the dealership and they want $109 for just the driver side.
