Edge trim is something I would have to buy locally so I could see it 1st.
Wouldn't want some brittle plastic pc of junk showing up at the door.

Before I could even get upset about how long it took, I'm asking myself WWJD?

In other news. Someone hit my mailbox yesterday. The whole situation is best discussed over beers as it was a mess.

This was after I picked up the debris.
So we spent the next 2 hours on the hottest day of the year digging the post out. Needless to say my winch came in handy.

Used the winch line over the spare tire trick to pull up what was below grade.
No good pics as we were busy working the problem.

That beefy post definitely saved my Tacoma from getting wrecked in the driveway. It stopped the car for sure. Goal is to put a good heavy one back in.

Are you going to use a Sonotube for the new one?

I always thought that was illegal?
    Maybe it's just frowned upon?

    Good idea.
Do you have 2 to share?
With that I mean you give me 2 so I have 1 now and 1 for the next story.

@Taco-Grinder If I could trouble you to measure that cubby compartment for the compressor, I'll bring you a couple in Bayfield. :D

I don't need all the tabs measured. Just the basic L×W×H of the box.
I can figure out the rest.

Our maintenance guy has a metal brake that he hasn't put together, yet.
I told him to get his ass moving, I have a good 1st project to test it with.

current plan is to replace the old post with 4” x 3/16 wall sq tube. I was in fact thinking of filling it with cement like a bollard. Basically if a snowplow hits it I want the driver to go “Oh fuq!”

chances of that are slim as it’s pretty far off the road. That said it stopped the car from hitting my truck.

I hadn’t thought about that. I was just going to put 2 bags of quickcrete into the existing hole.
A Sonotube would make it easier to remove if I ever had to.
