That thing is going to require more money and TLC than your Tacoma ever would if you aren't going to work on it yourself

 

It was so cool though. 4 speed manual with the overdrive button.

 

It is cool but it's side-project cool not this will be my new reliable daily-cool

 

What about trying to find a trade for a p71, shitty ones are only worth like 2-3k

 

With the dual axle setup sometimes you can jack the blown tire up and lock it into place with redneck ingenuity to get back on the road to the nearest town. We had to do that in the middle of Wyoming when I was moving to NC

 

Old Volvos are awlays cool, but that thing still looks like a shitbox.

I have an irrational love for those old things, they were very practical... but at that many miles I'd question if it has any left haha

 

parts availability trending towards zero lol

 

be a neat car for running errands a couple times a year in the bumper seasons, between waiting for parts

 

I've always had an irrational desire for one of these, if I just needed just cheap asf transportation it'd be high on my list.

 

In sure Zane could get a new wiring harness for it

When I was 19/20 we had a guy in our group of friends with on of those old police Crown Vics that still had the red/blue interior lights on it, he would drive around at night sometimes and pretend to pull over other cars scaring the shit out of them, until he got busted doing it by the actual cops lol. Surprisingly they just told him to remove the lights and let him go, but this was almost 20 years ago

 

I'm really more concerned by the grift here, the tacoma is worth 2000ish in its state and running at least 6k... This thing is worth $500 and half a McChicken... you're getting taken advantage of if you make that trade.

 

Maybe not a police one cause of all the idle hours, but I do like those. A Park Av or LeSabre with the 3800 would be another good option.

 

He said he’d be asking 4500 for the Volvo..

 

I would put money down that it would overheat on him on the way home from that deal, too lol
