Ok, looking for more group think from folks that have installed this setup. I've got a solid squeak coming from the rear when it moves laterally (think shaking the bed fro side to side). Other than the obvious of pulling it all apart and regressing the bushings (which I loaded up really good) what else could I look at? I read someone had issues with the bushing for the rear shock mounts making noise and quieted down with grease.

Happened to me. The bushings in the leaf pack were SO loud. I separated them and cleaned them too many times. I ended up putting in a piece of rubber from a bike intertube on top of the pads between the leafs and it hasn’t made any noise since. A little ghetto but it worked for me.

Over the weekend I opted to clean and FluidFilm the leaf packs on the truck. That cut the noise down about 80%. When prying them up to coat them it almost looked like there aren't any shims in there. Next step will be pulling them down and separating and doing the shims or bike tube trick (along with regressing the hanger bushings).

I didn’t find it was the bushings when I took them off to re-grease. After I added metal leaf spacers/shims between every leaf vs the one or two they have at the bottom, my squeaking went away completely.

They say 440lbs constant weight for the mediums, in the summer I have my tent (165lbs) and my ARE Overland canopy (dont know but probably every bit of 200) and a homebuilt drawer system that's heavier than it needs to be. And a full size 34inch spare in the stock location. I feel like it just needs a little more lift when fully loaded up for a trip.

Which shims did you use? I've also been chasing a squeak.

Just hard to say. I've read people hate how rough they are, but I think I would go heavy's if I did it again. I will say the ride is fantastic on the mediums, maybe I'm just being hyper critical of the rear ride height.

Seems a little more than 440. I use sumosprings to assist with load and it’s great. How does the ironmans ride? Do the mediums feel stiff at all loaded and unloaded? Thanks

The ride is amazing, have no complaints about it. Even loaded up the ride is great. Just wish I had a little more height

Hey guys, I have a 2008 Tacoma trd sport DCLB. I’ve had the Ironman foam cell pro lift on for a few months now. I’m loving it. I got the dynamic/performance leafs and the 3” 720a coils. When I first installed the kit, it was 4” of lift in the rear and 4.5” of lift in the front.

A few months later it sits 4” in the rear still and now 4” in the front. Drives great on the highway. I really love the visual look too but it’s a tad jarring going over roundabout bumps or speed bumps. How much do you guys recommend I lower it? Or should I wait for my 150 lb front bumper to come and see how I like the ride then?

That seems like a lot of lift! Any pics?

If it’s not going to be long, wait for your bumper. Maybe throw a bag of sand or gravel in the bed and see if that helps.

I also think the lift is a little jarring. Was the lift set at that height from IM?

Yeah it definitely is lots of lift! Here’s some pictures. I can try and get some better ones. I’ll throw a bag of sand in there for now. Trying to get a camper shell and bumper on there before the year is out so I don’t have to mess around with the suspension.

I’m also thinking of getting some wheelers super bumps for front and rear to help out a bit around town. I purchased through cap-it which is a Canadian company. I think they just buy from IM and resale so I’m assuming yes it was set like this by IM.

The truck looks great! I’m sure the cvs are struggling a bit lol. With that much lift you might eat through the cv boots quick.

You might want to check and see if they’re set right but there is nothing you can do about the back besides remove a leaf. If you lower the front then you’ll have more rake.

Thank you! Yes the CV’s were unhappy. When I installed the kit I also installed the ECGS bushing and the original CV’s crumbled in my hands. I slipped the broken boots back as far as I could to stop the leaking, zip tied them and drove like that for a day or two before I brought it to a shop to install new CV’s.

The angle of them are not ideal, but the diff drop kinda helped drop them an inch back down. Although I think I’m going to take the diff drop out as I have read some posts about it doing more damage then good. When I do that, I will lower it a 1/4” and see how that helps.

I had about 850lbs in the bed today of stone and the rear didn’t even sag. The drive felt so much better with the weight. Bumps I just floated over. Not jarring at all. Hopefully a cap on the back with my tools will help the ride quality.

Good luck! I’ve adjusted the height several times and keep saying I’m going to add weight to the back but never do.

Some of the jarring is from my E rated tires as well. They don’t help at all!

I just bought the Stage 2 Nitro Gas , I´ll install during the week end... But I´m thinking in the tire size... my truck is TRD sport 17 in OE wheel, I´ll plan keep it , at least for the next month... I´m between 265/70R17 or Jump to 285/70R17 I´m planing to buy a Lite weight tire and base on availability these two size are the ones that are in my city... do you think that the Bigger will fit? or the smaller will see very goofy? thanks in advance
