Anyone with an sr5 that removed the “snow plow” know if there’s enough ground clearance to crawl under the truck and change the oil without using drive on ramps or jacks?

Seems like this would be like asking if the seat is comfortable. Very dependent on physical dimensions.

He won't drain the trans like a few recent posters.

Cause his first action will be using a bright colored paint pen on the oil pan plug. Just in case.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
There is plenty of room to crawl under there without ramps or stands

It would be of extreme comfort to just use ramps/stands, most likely less messy too.

IDK, but I can't change the oil on my 2023 Tundra without ramps, partly because it has the TRD skid plate and that needs to come off. But back in the good old days when I had a 2nd gen Tacoma it was easy peasy to do without ramps. I miss that truck. <sigh>

This is TW, the "right" way is to install a 3" lift and run 35" tires. This gives 4.5" more elbow room under the engine.

that reminds me... in my younger days... no ramps, floor jack or jack stands... use to drive up on the concrete curved sidewalk at Mom and Dad's to create space under my mustang... slide under on your back from the front... able to reach the oil drain plug with my short length arms...
