Todd's headed up tonight, my buddy and I are leaving placerville between 1-2 tomorrow. He's gotta work I told him I'd wait for him, I think we're gonna cruise up 49 rather than go into Truckee

That's probably the main reason I don't pay for OnX, I don't want to pay separately and change aps between when I hike, mountain bike, drive off road, etc. I do a lot outside and like that I can get all that in one app with Gaia. Gaia shows public land boundaries and I figure the rest is private and stay off.

Anyone in the bay area wants to go to Deer Valley this weekend? Leaving Friday morning coming back Sunday morning? All my friends bailed out on me last minute.

 

My noob ass buddy and I tried to make it up Leavitt lake and failed this weekend. Buddy's stock all seasons just weren't up to the task in the last sections and an og dude who ended up on our tail and was giving us spotting tips said he wouldn't risk it sober lol. Will retry next spring as I don't think he'll be able to swing new tires in time before rainy/snow season.

 

I would if I didn't already have plans.

Sounds like my kind of trail. I've been wanting to go to Leavitt lake and honestly that might be the next place I go. I went to laurel lakes in mammoth and made it through nicely with methodical line choice, yatta yatta.. I've conquered sourgrass as well, so I imagine I'll be alright.
