Put my car near the shop, not the body shop, the machine shop. For those that don't know, I hit a deer 2 weeks ago and jacked up the front end.

Got to pull the bumper cover to change the headlights. Thanks YouTube for that info.

    upload_2024-8-30_9-28-27.jpg

The hood was jacked towards the passenger side and the gaps were not good, at all.

I pushed/pried the hinges back towards the driver side, unbolted the hood and put two blocks of wood under it, bounced on the center a dab and wala, the gaps are good(er(ish))

Check this out, those new Amazon headlights look great! And, I'm out for less than my deductible and the turn around time was fairly quick. The best part is, I can't see the dents in the hood and other bad spots from the drivers seat.

I went to the auto parts store and told the guy I needed a headlight bulb. He said what for? I said so I can see in the dark

Enjoy the family time and be safe my friend :fistbump:

We may go to the local high school football game tonight, some kids from our youth group play on the team and in the band.

Tomorrow we are having our small group over for supper, smoking 2 Boston butts tomorrow and doing a little chop chop on them.

I may light my brush pile in the morning in the yard, got some waste oil I need to get rid of. I figure if I do it in the dark when I lite the smoker the neighbor won't see the dark smoke for a few minutes :anonymous:

    New poll.

I've never been struck but it's been very close a few times.

One time I was working on a dirt bike and a storm came up, lightning hit near the shop and scared the crap out of me.

One time I was driving near my parents and lightning struck a transformer in front of me, it blew up. It was cool but our power was out.

Third time we were sitting on the couch during a storm and lightning hit a tree in our back yard about 30 feet from the house. It was so loud and shook the house, burnt some electrical stuff up and blew bark off the tree 50' away. Surprisingly the tree survived. About a year earlier lightning struck a tree on the neighbors property not 80' away and set his outbuilding on fire.

@StayinStock hook our 1st voter up with a wonderful prize package and throw in some non perishable canned goods and home warming gifts since he's moving soon and there's no telling how long the fridge will sit in the yard while he and his wife argue where the couch looks best. Congratulations @PzTank :hbd:
