I'm a Ford dealer tech but goddammit those prices are fucking ridiculous. Only price I think is fair is rotate/balance, that usually pays onr hour labor and costs about $100.
If you can find a good indy shop and they can take care of all that stuff, if your concerned about aftermarket parts some indy shops will get oem parts/fluid if you want them, it will take a little longer to get oem parts as opposed to napa/adance auto who deliver parts 3-5 times a day

Already owned a tacoma and civic when I started at Ford, I absolutely despise the tacoma 4wd system, Fords is so much better.
If I needed full size truck I would buy a 2013-2016 F150 3.7L 6 speed auto in a heartbeat. Next vehicle is probably a CRV or Rav4 cause I don't like any of the Escapes. Vehicle brand loyalty is stupid, but yes we dealer techs often end often up driving when we work on cause we get to know the most reliable engine/trans combos are.
Your brother probably knows the most reliable and easy to work on Chrysler motor and transmission, I am extremely impressed with the Chrysler 3.6L 8 speed auto.
