@BadDNA your running the MT64s? How do you like them? How long have you been running then? Is the finish durable on them? Any idea how it compares to 6112/5160?

 

I'm actually running the BP51s. I've had them on for a coupe of years now and haven't had anything bad to say about them. The shaft guards can be tricky to install correctly and the retainers are difficult to obtain if you lose them, that might transfer to the MT64s, but I'm not sure what else would.

 

Sorry Jason, I thought they were exactly the same thing. They are close though

 

I will say, the brine they put on roads up here in VT is the worst I've ever seen. There's a reason every vehicle up here is a rust bucket after a couple of years, and the BP51s have held up to that admirably.

 

That's okay if the reason I want the mt64s. Aluminum body. My bilsteins have been covered in woolwax since like year 2 lol. Finish just didn't hold up

 

What did Dan end up spraying his with? Those came out looking awesome and held up good through a couple of winters

The guy next to me was heading to Nova Scotia for this road with on the cliff camping. Might head there next year, idk if I can swing it before winter

 

I think he clear coated the shocks, which I did as well (at least the zinc coated parts of the Bilstein coilovers/shocks). The clear coat came out okay, but then I coated them with a cosmoline type spray, and they have held up well over 2 winters.

 

Only problem when you have a good setup



Too many people want to talk about it. I bet each festival there are at least 10 folks that stop to talk about the setup. I was thinking iKamper need to sponsor our music festivals.

 

Yup he clear coated them. But his truck also only has like 40k miles on it lol
