Anti Theft ?!?!?!??

Okay, my truck has disabled the ignition 4 times now. The key won’t rotate. The anti theft flashes but that’s the only sign. I usually disconnect the pos side of the battery to reset the computer. (15-30 mins usually works) Not today though. Idk what is in the hell is going on but I’m getting mad. Ha I’ve owned the truck for 6 months it’s a 2021.

 

Any chance that when you parked it the steering wheel lock was binding against the stops?
Sometimes that can prevent the key from turning.

 

I’m on a slight incline, and my steering wheel is slightly turned to the right. I can’t rotate my steering wheel either. So I’m figuring you’re correct. How do I go about this problem now. Teach me…ha. Thank you!

 

I'd start with wiggling the steering wheel per above post.
Pull down on it a hair on either side ( East/West ) and see if that will loosen it.
Just a hair.
Then wiggle the key left/right.

See if you can get a pal or 2 to 'push' from the front of the truck just a hair as well.

 

Well, I got it. Not sure what actually jared it loose but now the ignition turned. I appreciate the help.
Now, I’m assuming this happens when the vehicle is off, and the steering wheel is moved in one direction till it stops rotating. Correct assumption? I was working on installing some seat jackers. I must have grabbed the steering wheel.

 

The wheel locks when the car is off and you try turning the wheel at all. Dont think the push to starts have it but it's a thing on most vehicles. Usually jiggling/ turning the wheel while turning the key unlocks it and starts the car.
