Technically, it is a fish. If you zoom in, you can still see where the umbilical cord was attached.

I have a front receiver. When I get home I will look up who I used. Some cutting and modifying involved but I know a guy…

Sometimes, I don't follow and still need the winch, though.

I have decided to move the big DiodDynamics lights on my headache rack to the reverse light circuit. To many lights already on the rock light switch…. Should be fun in the dark lighting up the world behind me…

I'm liking the position of the raised front receiver mount, if I was going to take the time to do it.
    That is the way.

Bad but Good financial opportunity for the delinquents of the WI thread: Anyone looking for a lithium (LiFePO4) house battery for things like a fridge? I'm possibly going to upgrade my current battery because I want even more power and I'll make you a good deal. These things last for thousands of cycles and mine might have like 200 on it so barely broken in. SOK brand, 206Ah, no internal heater and no bluetooth but I'll include a Victron shunt that might take some playing with but should work. I paid about $1k two years ago and prices have come down where a new one on sale is like $650. Call it $500obo for friends.

For reference this is basically the same one, again except mine has no bluetooth or heat. Bluetooth is a bit gimmicky anyways, and most people don't need heat.

    Let me know, cheers!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
It's a great morning to turn wrenches...

I was mixed up before when I was talking about the brake controller for the winch.

    I meant for the compressor.
That 10ga. line for the controller could potentially be tapped into as a power source for the 12v anderson plug.

You mention the word "deal" and my ears perk right up.
I'm not at that level of the game yet. Need to go out and collect more tokens.

Here's where I'm at with the winch wiring.
    Permanent plug on the winch.
Permanent plug on the battery with cutoff switch. (for front attach.)
2nd permanent plug in the small cubby (+ lead also wired through cutoff)(for rear attach.)
    20240901_080452.jpg
My only question is I need another plug. The energizer 30' jumper cable comes with 1 set and doesn't state the plug ratings. Only mentions the 800A rating of the 1ga cable.
The highest rated plug I can find in that size is 350A.
I'm wondering if that's what they used.? or if 350A will handle a potential 500A pull.

From the battery to the cubby I ordered 25'(0.75") scuff/heat resistant wire loom to protect the cable.
Get it threaded to the back and you'll never know it's there.

My Anderson plugs are 175a and that is plenty for the winch. I used 0 gauge wire. Spent more on wire to front and rear than I did on the winch
