I wasn't going to buy the Hypertherm until the end of the year or so but one came up as new old stock (for cheap) so I got it, along with one of those packs of consumables all for under $2k.

Just bought that fixture table too so I wasn't planning on spending money :bananadead:

Then I checked out Baker's Gas and they have a sale on Hypertherm accessories so I also ordered a machine torch this morning :violent:

But yes, the PrimeWeld is still on my CNC table so the Hypertherm will just sit on my table looking pretty.

Really though, the Hypertherm was a planned purchase for when I get rid of my CNC table and upgrade to something better. I figured one day maybe I can actually "become a business" or something.

Even if it doesn't, I just remind myself that this was all just as a hobby which it still is.

To learn something and enjoy doing it.

Man, it's been a minute since I've even worked in the garage.

    Loaded up some steel -

    20240831_104200.jpg

Ran the program for 3 sets -

    20240831_110530.jpg

This is how long it takes just for the 3 -

    20240831_110628.jpg

    Fresh off the table -

    20240831_110856.jpg

Little bit of clean up -

    20240831_114252.jpg

And since it's only 3 sets, that means only 12 pieces get bent -

    20240831_120051.jpg

    20240831_120032.jpg

90% done already, just taking a quick lunch break before I weld on all the necessary nuts -

Since 4 sets are paid for, I wanted to get started on the first 3 right away.

Also, just to throw this out there I did post my plasma cutter for sale.

Not aware of anyone else having a CNC table but I'm selling it with a hand torch, and for a little more it'll come with the machine torch if you feel the need to have one for the future.

In case anyone's interested - just no shipping.

    Thanks for that.

Those that state strap savers have confirmed I believe.

    Got their stacks set aside.

I'd love to get these first 3 shipped out cause the next set will include @outershell set.

Having extra work space made a huge difference.

Knocked these out pretty quickly -

Going to let them cool then I'll wipe them down tomorrow and get to packaging them up.

Strap savers Paypal payment has been sent.

@Kwikvette I assume for batch 2, you're going to PM us on the list when you're ready for payment, right?

    Yep!

If you'd like, you can send payment now. Or you can wait until I make the next few in batch 2.

I just haven't asked because I can just buy steel without any pre-payment knowing the sets work.

    *Disclosure*

I have not widened/enlarged the slot in the L bracket because it doesn't affect install by the looks of things, and I didn't want to delay making any sets as I delayed enough with FedEx recently.

To any guests in the background, or members that did not partake in this during the initial launch, there will not be a 4th batch.

After the first 3 batches are complete, I will move onto a per order basis and will make these to order.

I've received almost 10 PM's these last two or three days asking if I can keep people on a wait list if someone drops out and I must admit, it would be too many people to keep track of.

I do this as a hobby, and would prefer to focus on those listed on page 1 of this thread.

After which, the price will go up by a few bucks to make up for the added cost of consumables.

    Thank you for understanding!

I think I'm going to just hit it with a metal file before I paint. I don't need any.

I know it isn't necessary at all for the "wire management holes" to line up perfectly. I am curious though about the slot you mention widening/enlarging that might bring things into alignment? Maybe for grins I would mill out the hole on my brackets if it isn't too big of an operation?

A few members stated that the metal was too thick, others said it could work, but ultimately it doesn't put a hard stop on your install.

I'll have to take the time to stick to the computer and fix it. One of these days :bananadead:

In preparation for tomorrow, I went ahead and cut another 3 sets out today.

Will be out of town visiting in laws so by cutting these out today means for an easier tomorrow.

This set will cover the freebie I need to send out as well as 1 emergency order.

    20240901_123956.jpg

Tomorrow I'll cut out the necessary F bombs from another sheet.

    Also, updated original post.

After all 3 batches have been made, introductory price will be no more and F bomb brackets will no longer be offered.

    Yep!

I won't reach out until I'm about ready to get someone's set made.

Speaking of, those 3 sets I cut out yesterday already got bent and welded today while the other 3 sets got wiped down and boxed up for shipping.
