My neighbor smashes his deck to the ground and when its really dry all you see is a dust cloud....cant see the neighbor on the mower. Kinda like that kid from Charlie Brown.

Well, I got the wife talked into approving the purchase of the sumo springs, front and rear. So hopefully they arrive in the next month or so barring any shipping shenanigans that are going around :fingerscrossed:
I'll get them on and see if they live up to the hype

This is where I leave off tonight. Got the front taken apart for the new headlights. Going to head up to O’Reillys tomorrow morning and pick up new bulbs. Got the rear tires mounted just for looks. Passenger side hub bolt is seized even Tri standing on it with a 5 foot cheater, not moving.

I realized if I was going to keep doing that kind of work I needed to get the work up to me because I can't kneel or crouch.

    Mine is a Challenger CL10V3
    https://www.challengerlifts.com/car_lift/10k-versymmetic-2-post-lift/

For the type of work I do the 2 post unit made more sense, the drive on 4 post units are way more convenient for oil changes though.

Decided to work on a project I have put off for too long over labor day weekend. Installing some marble tile in the spare bathroom. My son-in-law had ran vinyl plank flooring over the existing sheet vinyl years ago. It held up pretty well for awhile but was coming up in places and the wife wanted it fixed. Pulled the old flooring up and started putting down the cement board Friday after I got off work. Finished the cement board Saturday morning and Daddy came over to help around noon, he done most of the cutting and we got it all laid by about 5:00. I was whooped by the end of the day. Got to grout it today and get the toilet back in.

Cost wasn't too bad, about $100 dollars in supplies but the tile was free. Boss wanted the warehouse cleaning up and was going to chunk this crate of tile, I said nope I'll take it. Got enough to do our larger bathroom in the shop now.

Good morning everyone, I hope you have a pleasant September 1st..

That bathroom floor is looking terrific @wee

    Thanks for the info on lifts @RustyGreen , @Tacoma Mike , @koditten and @phillstill .

The house we’re purchasing has an oversized 2 car garage that’ll need a new slab. I’m hoping to have that done by next Spring and am thinking about this due to height:
    https://www.challengerlifts.com/car_lift/9k-open-top-2-post-lift/

I appreciate the perspective on moving the pads around but a 4 post won’t work for wheel changes and brake work on the Tacoma and GT350.

    I’m open for suggestions though.

Most 4 post lifts come with a center jack that rolls the length of the lift so you can lift one end or the other.

Many people buy a second jack so all 4 wheels can be in the air at once.

In my opinion, I think the 4 post units would be great for Michigan suspension work.

There has been several instances that no air tool would loosen a rusty bolt. Out comes the 3/4" drive sockets set with a 3' cheater. Yanking on that handle has gotten the 2 post swaying a bit.

No risk of toppling an unbalanced vehicle off a 4 post.

Make sure you get the correct psi cement for that. It will be disastrous if you don’t.
Make it thicker and more psi than recommended.
Our place was a warehouse and we had to put higher psi pads for it.
    Don’t skimp

Thanks Mike, it’s on the checklist to check that lift’s specs.

went to a car show last night.

a few interesting things. this guy's been driving around town for the last year, but i've never been in a spot to to safely get a picture.

and a really clean t-bucket truck build with cantilever suspension, weirdly for sale for $14.6k... he just finished it... didn't take a picture of the entire vehicle, i was only interested in the suspension.
