I don't hate a microchannel, but you have to make sure you have a good dryer/filter on them and be careful cleaning them. Viper Blue coil cleaner only

Climatuff coils clean super easy though.

 

Mitsubishi makes great stuff. I went to a Mitsubishi shindig about 15 years ago and the guy speaking said they had 7 compressors returned one year due to failure nationwide.

Not sure if it's true, but I have never seen a bad one in 20 years. Good stuff.

 

Climatuff SpineFin coils aren’t really worth shit at the scrapyard because they’re aluminum, and they also make a mess when cut up compared to traditional coils.

I scored a free window A/C the other day…

 

I was 90% sure that I was going to scrap it, but I turned it on just for grins. It blew coldish/cool air, but it wasn’t finger-numbingly crisp as the A/C in my truck or the window unit in my bedroom; I ultimately chopped it up…

 

It also sat outside for awhile before I acquired it…

 

Manufactured in April 2017, so not even eight years old!

 

Pete gave me a bunch of car parts to scrap when I brought the truck in for inspection, including an A/C condenser!
