The headlights on my 2016 TRD Sport are hazed and starting to peel. I'd like to replace them with OEM assemblies that are an upgrade (LED). I'm having a difficult time finding lights that will fit this truck. I've asked at the local Toyota dealership parts department and all they can offer is to order the stock light assemblies I currently have on the truck. I've considered going with aftermarket but I keep reading questionable reviews on most of them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? Thank you.

You can get 2020+ LED headlights but you'll need an adapter kit to hook up all the plugs

Reading through some research, the 2016-18 TRD Sport did not have the LEDs that came with the 2020+ TRD Sport.

You'll need a Harness for the correct connection. Paging @daveeasa

I made the conversion last year, bought my harness from Dave - daveeasa.
I chose the Pro version of the LED headlights, for less chrome.

The light output is significantly improved.

The OEM Halogen/LED-DRLs on my 2021 TRD Sport before I installed full OEM LED Headlights: (In case you don't want to spend on full LEDs)

OEM non-LED headlamps are unchanged 2016-2023, excluding the TRD Pro models pre-2020. The TRD Sport / Off-Road and Limited trims had halogen assemblies with some black trim on the inside with LED DRLs. The SR/SR5s had full chrome headlights without the LED DRLs. The 2017-2019 TRD Pro trucks had full blackhoused headlamps.

The LED headlights bolt on perfectly. The dealership won’t confirm compatibility due to the harness differences which are trivial. Various options for that, no need to worry one bit, just shop around for OEM LED at the price you like, pro or not pro.

Thank you for all of the info...this is very helpful. Are the OEM Headlight Assemblies only available through the dealerships or are there other sources? The lights would need an adapter harness?

Sparks wants $1,600 for the set (shipping & tax). Are there any cheaper alternatives for the OEM LEDs out there?

Likely going to be about timing with a Toyota sale. You just missed one during Black Friday. A few times a year, they run a 25% off, free shipping promo. It's the best deal I've seen.

Pulled the trigger on the LEDs from Sparks. Guess I'm getting a chore for Christmas.

Worth it, even at the normal price IMHO. Grab harness from Dave and they’ll plug right up. Only took about 2 1/2 hours to do mine.

I ordered the harness from Dave as well. Any thoughts on how to protect the light surface on these new assemblies? I was pretty disappointed the original lights started to "peel" and haze over. I tried a headlight restorer but it was only a minor improvement. I'd like to protect these new assemblies as much as I can.
