1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

I’m fortunate enough to have admin rights, though we just got sold to another company so we’ll see what the new overlords say

 

My old company switched over to Google workspace. We build a LOT of ITAR stuff, a good chunk I did were classified projects. Want to know what isn't ITAR compliant? Google workspace.

 

Lol exactly haha. But no one worries about that until a risk analysis or a govt lawsuit because the short term savings over using MSFT stuff is so juicy

Yeah I put my foot down with somethings. I told them they can't force me to use the software that's not compliant. They probably hated me for it but when your building classified projects, I'm not putting my name anywhere that I can get flak for

 

Went and found some sunflowers with the gf last night...

 

This is why i gave back my company laptop and bought my own. After they goy hacker they put everything on lock down. Cant even get software to run the drives for tools i need to do my job. They either out right block it or i gotta sit with IT for hours explaining why i need it and getting them to approve it, but they would have to log into my computer and download it

 

What’s funny is out of all the Places I’ve been given remote access to the equipment US military bases were the easiest Smart and final was extremely hard to get clearance for

 

Yeah, that happens so much. I have a second machine I do a lot of the real work on, so does everyone else in my department. Corporate ITs function is to avoid security problems, not help the people get work done.

finally getting around to working with the plates you cut for this mount. ended up taking the 2 and making a table out of them so there's an air gap underneath @Kwikvette

all this and I think I'm still gonna eventually want to move it to the bed, v concerned about heat in this spot lol
