Happy 60th, Pat! Same age as my dad, could you imagine having a kid my age?

WOW not the best bday gift but glad your daughter is OK.

Digging the mods and all the related posts. Any pics of the finished installed front bumper? Didn't see one of those. We need pics!!

Congrats to you and Dean on your respective anniversaries! Your description of the Hobnob is pretty spot on, much of the decor is original for each era. Do you remember that scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas where they are in the hotel lobby and everyone is a lizard? That's basically how I feel it is (less mirrors but add in great food) on a Friday/Saturday after the sun goes down and all the oldies are getting sloppy drunk. More classy in the daytime or while the sun is still shining that is for sure but food has always been great.

She said the deer jumped. Only sheet metal damaged is up on the drip rail where it tore the rack off. Amazing!

On that note I did get a front camera from the wife and child for my birthday. At some point I will need to make time to install it.
Current project is giving the paint some love. Just finished washing with Chemical Guys clean slate and clay baring the paint. I’ll start the polishing process tomorrow. I imagine that will take some time.
I have a lot I plan on doing in the span of this month.

Once you have one you'll wonder how you got by without it. And @Aztec120 is a pro at installations. How many have you done now Cisco?

The one thing to remember with the front cam @Pixeltim is when you use it and then have to reverse in a tight spot, make sure you switch off the front view. I've confused myself a couple times when I went to back up and had a panic moment when I realized I was looking at the front view. Rocks and such also look smaller in the wide angle view of the camera, but it really does help with picking lines, especially when cresting a hill with nothing but the sky and your hood to see.

Also, try flipping on the front cam when you're traveling down the highway. It looks like you're in a video game in a very fast car. :D

On the 3rd gen you can put the transmission into reverse on the highway and it will activate the rear camera. Kinda handy when towing.
Also I would NOT try that trick with the manual. Just saying.

There might be different versions. For mine, I just click the mode button on the steering wheel twice to turn it on for 30 seconds, or, when I’m in reverse, the rear cam is on, but as soon as I shift into drive, it turns the front cam on. Any time the front cam is on and I shift to reverse, it automatically switches to the rear cam.
It will take a little getting used to though, everything looks backwards on the front cam.

Usually on the aftermarket cameras there are a few little wires that that need to be cut to adjust the image.

This is for a Natika, yours may differ.

On my front cam install I cut the green and white wire.

Yeah. I need to cut the white one to reverse the image on mine. Luckily it’s still easily accessible!

Oh, yeah, that is different. I have a dedicated switch installed for full time front, full time rear, or factory rear when in reverse. This is the one I have: https://runnin4tacos.com/products/anytime-camera-full-kit?variant=32558770454577 but I don't think Runnin4Tacos makes the same one for 2nd gens.

Yeah, I think you need to snip one of the loops to flip the image Tim. I kept the guide lines and I'm glad I did. Turns out that the lines match up very well with the front bumper corners, and I can use them for navigating tight turns between trees and such.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
He bought the Germes Lab setup, like mine. Works with 2nd and 3rd gen, using the radio controls. After doing his 2nd Germes Lab setup, Cisco @Aztec120 said he likes the Germes Lab better, easier to work with and more compact.

I have no doubt that Tim @Pixeltim will like his too.
