Haha! I truly hope folk haven't been living status quo for 5+ years waiting for "the crash." Even with the real estate crunch, financial gurus like Dave Ramsey say if you're on the market and have the means, you just have to make the jump.

    Three things to consider:

    1) About 25% of the dollars in existence didn’t exist before the pandemic. (Source: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2SL)

Idiot ninnies overreacted to Covid by shutting down economies, then bailed themselves out of that hole by printing new money. As a result, the cost of everything from eggs to Tacomas is massively higher. More dollars in circulation means each one of them is worth less.

    2) These increases are permanent. There will be small fluctuations, but if you’re waiting for Tacomas (or eggs) to be 20% cheaper, you’re out to lunch.

    3) The Federal Reserve is widely expected to cut the prime rate later this month and continue cutting it over the next year. This will make borrowing money cheaper. When loans are cheaper, demand for things like cars and houses generally (but not always) rises. When demand rises, prices rise.

    Bottom Lines:

    1) You might save a thousand here or there, but the price of the 4th gen is never going to match the prices of the 3rd gen. They’re higher and they’re going to stay that way—like everything else’s price.

    2) Elections have consequences. Don’t vote for ninnies.

Don’t worry; eggs are so expensive now that I can’t afford to throw them at your Raptor.

Wish more of us had “walked a thin line” back in 2020 though.
