Anyone else use a splash of fish sauce or some anchovy paste in their sketti?? You’re welcome.

I always use anchovies when making marinara. Fish sauce, hard nope.

Nobody could even tell anchovies are in it, but the slight salty umami they add is great.

Ending a 3 week / 3 country work travel stent in London. The wife flew out to spend a few days before heading home. I could really use your thoughts and prayers right now…

$80 USD at a highly recommended Tuscan restaurant

I added the salt/pepper. You don’t need to wrap a bone when deep frying veal… it was also way overcooked :(

Mashed potatoes made with WATER and no seasoning… but it did have lumps, so that’s something.

That’s cool. I’d love that! It was cool to have a marble table as a kid for all the baking and candy making shtuff. Wouldn’t mind a triple sink either.

I never used to do it, but now that I am old and have zero tolerance for BS, I will just tell the waiter that it is terrible, and I am not paying for it. I will take a lot, but there is a point where I will draw the line and say that I am not willing to pay $80 for what they gave me. I fortunately only had to do it once; at Texas Roadhouse where everyone raves about the steak - I ordered a steak medium rare; it came well done and bone dry. I sent it back. Waited forever, everyone else at the table was done eating when they brought my replacement and it was just as dry. So I just asked them to take it back and remove it from my bill. No fuss, nobody was mad at anybody, Manager came to apologize - he saw the steak and admitted it was not medium rare. But I definitely don't want to pay for a dry steak when I can make a much better steak at home for a fraction of the cost.
    Rant over :)
