Regarding your first question, the USFS (Arapahoe Roosevelt NF) and Boulder County are currently in stage 2 fire restrictions, which prohibits recreational shooting on both public and private lands.

They are supposed to go back in to stage 1 restrictions on September 3rd, but that still prohibits recreational shooting on public lands.

I have got to stop ordering shit that has a delivery date over a holiday weekend. :annoyed:
Had another package end up across town. From Amazon this time, so much less anxiety about it, but thru a third party carrier. Amazon said give it 24 hours and they'll send me a new one if it doesn't show up.

Service representative suggested that I use a drop box to avoid this in the future.
I suggested that the delivery driver learn to read/input the entire address clearly labeled on the package. And maybe make sure it matches the Google search results and not merely the first popup with a similar address. Isn't this part of the job of delivery driver? :)
I'm paying for Prime, I want that shit delivered to my door. Next day.

Yesterdays packages showed up early this morning. The ones that I'm supposed to track down. I no longer need them, was gonna keep them anyway, but now I just might return them.

Ordered two servo relays and a 32oz bottle of propylene glycol.
One box, 32oz bottle rolling around over the two fragile relays. You can only imagine the horror they were subjected to during shipping.
Tried for an hour to make one work, thought my transmitter was fucked. Tried the second and it worked just fine.
Kids, please don't package fragile stuff with heavy stuff.
I've had this happen before with a hardware vendor.
Ordered a UL listed power supply once, and a box of 50 key blanks.
Some enterprising asshole opened the power supply enclosure and thought it was a good place for the keys. During shipping, that heavy box of brass had it's way with the circuit board of the power supply. It didn't work of course.
Yes, these can be returned, warrantied, pain in the ass waste of time. We all have better things to do.
But really, it's like bagging your groceries. You just don't put the eggs and tomatoes on the bottom and set the half gallon of ice cream and the ham on the top and expect it to make it home.

I kind of get it. Box was big enough for all the items. Would have been ok if the two relays had been in their own smaller box, or at the very least, wrapped in a nice thick cocoon of paper or the fun bubbles and not just floating around loose in a bag.

    Exactly
Im not suggesting 2 boxes, merely at the very least wrapping and protecting all items in said box.
