Most pod setups end up being a nightmare to tune and loose power due to lack of air box harmonics

 

Not sure that matters if you are sticking a gallon jug in there, haha

 

I bought one used in really good condition. No way I would pay what they want for a new one.

 

I just got back from a 122 mile ride, absolutely beautiful perfect weather. I very much enjoyed it. And yes I rode alone, lol.

 

I went with a full exhaust, pod filters and Ivan’s jet kit. Put down 141hp on the dyno and ran very well. 2001 zrx1200

 

Seems the chain might have been dirtier than it looked. Gave the whole bike a wash and did a de-grease and re-lube of the chain, back to normal for now. Have to keep it all clean for the final testing on Fri.

 

Agreeed the prices are crazy!

 

Well, y'all caused me to go looking. 2005 6.0 diesel with 175K for $13,499

 

Moto ride along the coast was great, perfect weather, shoulda come back that way instead of coming up and over to the 101 via the canyons... Easily 20-25deg hotter on the other side and not fun at those temps.

How do you like that cab config. Been eyeing f250/f350 2022 + with that cab + 8ft bed + 7.3 Godzilla

Is yours a gasser? If so which motor?

 

I like it, I've had several trucks with a cab like this. I don't use the back seat, that's where my tool boxes and stuff go, lol. I'm 64, no kids, just me and my girl so it's fine. I gave up the true 4 door but I have an 8' bed. Mine is a a gasser, 6.2 It's a 2015 with 138,000, paid $18 for it. Was a Colorado fleet truck, absolutely no rust, that's amazing. I crawled all around under it when I was looking at it. Super happy with it. I'm a trucker and dig diesels but I just don't want the expense of owning a diesel, repairs can get very pricey especially with all the emision and def stuff on them. I'll stick to the gasser.
Edit: a guy I work with just got a 4 door, 8' godzilla. He now has a second mortgage.

 

I wanted a diesel but have no clue how to work on them and know the repairs are super expensive for turbos and injectors. Went with a gas 8.1L crew cab long bed and enjoying the 8-9mpg while towing. Which is pretty much all I use the truck for anyways.

 

Posted the S1000XR on Craigslist, then went to put it on Cycletrader. $25 for a two week ad, $75 for 12 weeks. I get they have to make their money but that seems pricey to me. And yeah, $75 on a 9,000 bike.. but still, craigslist is $5.

 

I went with the 12 weeks and got 10% off so it was sixty something. Just want to get the most exposure as I can

 

The current 5.0 Coyote is direct and port injected. Not sure on the previous gens.

 

man the 6.0 is a pos... ive never ever seen one of those engines actually be worth a damn...

I have no clue about any diesels. Always heard good things about Cummins 5.9 and Powerstroke 7.3's. I would love to have a diesel, just not the cost of maintenance.

haha ya they are great to have around but tbh i wouldnt own one as my main vehicle for cost at all! it would be a secondary vehicle! we have had a durmax in the family since 01 and its still running along now. has close to 300k miles and is getting pretty crusty but it still does what we need it to so its now the farm truck basically lol.

 

If I'm paying 30K for a used motor swap......I figure maintenance cost is a wash
