yeah hockey is a crazy expensive sport. Expensive to sign up for because of the overhead costs of the rink and all, and equipment is by far the most expensive of all sports in general. And gooalie equipment is more expensive than all of it combined. Let alone the fact that a kid will constantly outgrow it

 

Sofia gonna be a goalie?

 

We paid the extra fees up front because we aren't able to do any volunteering, just like we weren't able to last year because I work 9-5 and Rebecca is at home with River. We haven't had much luck in the way of finding lasting childcare

 

what's that one where all you need is a ball and a pair of shoes? That's the one we're aiming for

 

Yeah, and if you did volunteer, man that'd take up whatever little time you had left with the kids

I only know of two pre-schools around here we'd put Theo in, but I'll expand a little farther just cause we'd want to look for something that fits what we want him to do/learn

Sofia is in TK this year (pre-K) which is now actually offered in public schools as of this year I believe, so technically she could go for free if we put her in a public school. But her nursery school offers up to Kindergarten level and we want to keep her with her friends, plus we really like the school so she's gonna stay there probably through Kindergarten next year

 

But imagine a 3rd?...

Paying for kid 3's school, kid 2 is figuring out different hobbies/sports, kid 1 is already full fledged doing travel ball or some shit

Where do people find all that extra time

Yeah, what you get back in taxes pales in comparison to what you pay for their needs the entire year that's for damn sure

 

Damn, daycare is so expensive. $8k that's enough for @Ozark_RegCab to buy another vehicle that isn't good enough. Monica's work offers it for inployes over at heavenly for $25 a day. We may use it a few times this winter just to get Olivia more socialized.

it's basically a private nursery school but definitely one of the cheaper ones as far as that goes. There are much much less expensive options for preschool and technically it's not even something you have to do unlike elementary school. But it is definitely worth it as far as socializing and getting them prepared for a life of learning that's ahead of them.

 

He just needs to tap into his trust fund
