Yeah, they would had your front shocks done before you even knew they were out there!
I'm still giddy about the entire experience. Totally blown away.

We did get Tim's bumpers installed quickly.
    No guarantees.
I think all the bolts were tightened.
There is a speed bump in his neighborhood, he'll find out shortly.:D

My neighborhood has far too many speed bumps! Everything is awesomely solid, but I feel a new speed bump friendly suspension is forthcoming. I hear Dobinson makes a version specifically suited to my neighborhood!

Did you lose any ride height with the added weight?
    I would imagine, some?
Skids and sliders alone dropped me down an inch with those stock springs.
The new fronts brought me back.

The front might be slightly lower, maybe half inch, probably less. The new rear bumper weighs a ton, but interestingly, the old rear bumper felt about the same weight. I don't think it affected the rear at all.

Oh you don't need your own tools if the Wisco Taco Mod crew gomes to your door, Your typical Toyota dealer has less tools than we had in my driveway on Sunday! I forgot to get photographic evidence, damn. Btw, someone left a tube of Goop and some shop towels. I'll bring them to the next outing.

Sharing a relative data point to give ideas on armor weights:

My rear bumper is similar to Tim's though a bit less beefy. When I weighed the OEM bumper + hitch receiver it was something like 65-70lbs. Oddly enough my all-steel bumper was about the same so rear is a push. Tim's probably adds 20-30lbs though with that 4xI beefy goodness but that's not a whole lot in the grand scheme of things.

Front bumper mine is also a similar style. Weight was around 70-80lbs and you only lose maybe 5lbs at most removing the stock pieces to fit it on there. Add a winch and you're up 150lbs without batting an eye.

I think my bolt-on sliders were like 70lbs each side. RCI full steel skids probably add another 150lbs. Add it all together and yeah stock suspension is no longer happy.

Back to work after a 4 day weekend, felt good.
I turned a calendar over to September.
Now what do I do for the rest of the week?

    We will have power.
30ft of cable and several inches to spare.
Nothing like taking a brand new set of booster cables and cutting them all up.

The 800A rated 1ga booster wire came w/ 175A plugs on it.
I needed 1 more plug but waited until these cables came so I could keep them all the same.

That almost wraps it up. Winch ready for front or back.
Heat shrink a couple ends and hook it up.
Mount the switch and possibly the plug(s)....or coil the chord up next to the battery.
(I thought about getting a 1,2,both switch for up front.)

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Not sure why you'd want a 'both' option. Seems like a recipe for trouble...

Both as in both ends? I run both ends, so far with no problems. The 1/2 switch I guess is for choice and not having the whole circuit energized.

Isn't the 1, 2, both switch meant for using two batteries, not two power runs?

Now go get stuck and try it out

also you should get some battery terminals like the ones from SDHQ. Makes it a lot cleaner.

The ON/OFF switch is being used as a BOTH setup how I have it.
With a 1, 2 both, I'd be able to pick one or the other.

Just a reminder to everyone with a compressor in their garage/shop to give it some love. Drain any water out of the tank and check or change the oil.

I'm not real sure why I would 'run' both, anymore than I am why Dave would have an elephant gun?

It’s so you can keep your beer cold in the fridge in the bed while using the winch on the front!
