My thought was get a garden sprayer, put it in the pannier, and rig the hose up behind the windshield, spray on demand.

It's on FB marketplace, posted it here multiple times already haha it's been up for 2 weeks with only 1 person messaging about it, and he basically had questions that he could have easily googled but ended up not being a serious buyer (how big is the gas tank, what's the range, etc.). I believe I'm still the cheapest seller of this bike and year by about a grand and one of the, if not the, lowest miles for the model year.

I bought mine from CL, too, so I figure for $5 might as well. I check it every couple of weeks still out of habit.

I have only had three inquiries total. One really doesn’t count cause it was a stupid question. One was a trade ask and one his wife has his balls in a jar on the shelf. Otherwise crickets. But it just takes that one person that sees it and has to have it.

For those who moto with headphones paired to their phone and want small handlebar control for stuff like next/vol up, pause/play, back/vol down check this out!

I ride my MTB with open ear bone conduction headphones (highly recommended for all active sports for spatial awareness, use em while mowing the lawn with earplugs etc etc) but wanted an easy to reach button control of music as described above on my handlebars of my mtb, and recently went on a ride on my moto using them the headphones with earplugs (I never rode with music before cus I was always distracted with music while riding moto, but with these and ear plugs its like background music). It was nice for a cruise on the moto but wanted the same easy control without letting go of bars to much.

I came up with this. ~5$ on AliExpress, USBC chargeable. Cut the ears off of the "tick tok scrolling ring" use round file to shape to contour of 7/8ths bar end and a lil piece of 3M VHB double sided sticky tape!

Going to see how the durability is on the MTB before buying another 2 or 3 for my super tenere and buddies who ride moto/MTB. It's not waterproof by any means by I am a princess and don't ride in the wet or even fog haha

I'm intrigued. Trying to pause my phone to talk to ferry booth attendants, etc is a bit of a mofo. I use Shokz too when MTBing, but they are def not compatible with my moto stuff.

No one smart is buying motorcycles at the beginning of Sept unless it's a crazy stupid deal.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
It's been a minute since I posted in here...

    It's alive:
    20240903_173323a.jpg

After nearly 2 years, I've gotten my '92 Suzuki Bandit 400 running. For a while, I thought it was done for. Some parts are impossible to get, and one of them, the CDI box puked. While I still worked, I was having a hard time tearing into it to find the problem as I didn't want the thing sitting around all tore up, having something get lost or damaged...

Well, a couple of weeks ago, I tore into it...and found it was my worst fear...the CDI box. As of two years ago, they were basically unobtanium. If you were lucky to find one, there was a 50% chance it didn't work or the seller wanted a metric shit-ton of $ for it. A bit of searching found a company in GB and one in New Zeeland making repops...$330 and $570 respectively. A little more digging and I find Chineseum repops on eBay...they look right, but the part number is wrong...for $40. Talked to a friend of mine who also has one and decided to try one at that price, worst case, it doesn't work.

It arrived today. Plugged it in, sprayed a touch of ether into the airbox and it lit right off. Runs perfectly! I sure missed riding this bike.

Market definitely slows, not wrong there, but WA has fairly good year round riding weather, especially for full fairing tourers on the west side. Mines cheapest by almost a grand (pre-haggling) and fly and rides are a thing. I'm not giving up hope yet.

You literally just listed it. I've sold like 30 bikes. Rarely does it happen quicker than a month or two

Washington does not have good year round riding weather. Maybe your side, but definitely not over here

On craigslist, sure, it’s been up for two weeks on facebook, adv rider, and a few other bmw groups. I’ve sold a few bikes before, not 30, sorry, not old enough for that, and they’ve all happened in less than two months. Like I said, I have hope, no need to shit on someone. If it takes longer it takes longer, not a big deal.

You get like four snow days a year, if that haha that’s great! We get maybe a month of snow a year and last year I still commuted majority of the time on a bike as long as there wasn’t snow actively on the road or a monsoon. No bad weather, just bad gear (… with exceptions for snow). There’s a few riders in here who go year round like me and aren’t just fair weather.

Uhh.... *Insert you sure about that meme*

Going to +1 this. I have a WA buddy that hates me for that I not only have multiple In-n-Out locations in a 10mi radius I am literally 100% picky on the days I ride year around (lord I pay for the weather tho...). Been many a year where I have gone Eww Xmas eve is 2 deg cooler than Xmas day at 68 deg, I'll ride Xmas day so I'm not soooooo cold. Or during the summer.... Ooof 75 deg is too hot I'll ride tomorrow at 73.

I look at the weather reports elsewhere and go how the hell do people function.

Though. This coming up week. Who turned the heater on, I won't even be MTB after work at dusk in this Sahara desert temps.

My post was not even aimed at you. I'm not shitting on anyone, you took it wrong. 4 snow days but 180 rain days in a row, and see almost zero bikes, which probably means it's shitty riding weather for most people. Yeah there's die hards, most people aren't and saying they just need better gear is not the answer. The few bikes I do see are almost always the 250/300/400s newbies who are still just happy to be riding.

There are some cold but dry sunny days in winter that I will take a bike out. I have full heated gear though. Just don’t like it when my hands and feet get cold.

sorry but thats kinda dumb... i know a load of you all ride year round but here is the thing why be wet or cold (dont care if you have heated gear it only goes so far when you hit negatives...) you are out to enjoy your ride not be miserable so the statement of bad gear is just dumb... i know people who ride year round at my work but will actively avoid cold weather riding or heavy rain since its just not enjoyable to them....

    89, lol.

While i dont like the heat i decided its not going to show stop me all summer. Ill go ride mtb or dirtbike still.
I've ridden in single digits more than a handful of times. Some out of want, some out of complete necessity.

Ridden in the rain too but only if I get caught out in it. Never purposefully go out in the rain (street riding)..

to hell with negative weather riding! i like winter but i hate negative temps lmao. a coworker here has one of those big bmw street touring bikes and has all the heated gear in the world but still hates riding in winter lol. he will do it sometimes but most of the time his bike stays at home in winter.

ive got caught in the rain alot but wont actively go out into rain if i know its going to happen.

It’s not cold or miserable if you have the right gear, that’s kind of the point of having the right gear.

I get it’s not for everyone, but i enjoy riding as much as I can
