    That’s cheating!!!

I hadn’t thought about it in years - Memories from when I was about 12. I was told to dig out a few stumps near the family home. A shovel, dull axe and a pick. Took me an afternoon and a morning. Sizable stumps. Got ‘er done but is wasn’t fun.

@six5crèéd has the right idea! Leave the stumps high and use a machine

    Mowing day...

Lawn #5, just 5 minutes from finishing.

Mowin' along, singin' a song (Midland) and noticed my trusty little ZT laboring --

-- just about the time I realized the right front tire had gone off the bead (I was mid-swear) I made a sudden hard stop and the engine stalled. :ballchain:

Fortunately I have a parts mower:
    in the archives
    against the wall
in front of an old truck
with a pallet of Wisconsin engines on the other side...

It has been there a long time, so I excavated, got the wheel off
    -- it was flat
    -- and off the bead
    -- which was rusty.
    :censored:

After cussin' & fussin' I had the wheel on.

Now, why did it stop???

Seems like when the front of the mower dropped I caught a rock - or the edge of a buried engine block. :notsure:

Whatever it was it bent the leading edge of the deck slightly...

    KIMG4392.jpg

That nifty slice is where the blade went through the front of the deck, look close and you can see the blade, that explains why it stalled at least.

    Here is an inside view.

    KIMG4393.jpg

If I knew ahead of time (aka: if I was smart enough to look before I went to fix the tire) I would have brought back some tools. :frusty:

Figuring an impact bent it maybe a yank would move it enough to get the blade turning - yank with what...:ballchain:

How about the safety chains on the trailer?

    KIMG4394.jpg

I gave it 3 good bangs in reverse, blades clear - finished the lawn & 2 more.

All this talk of Drug test! I get popped for randoms at least 3 times a year. And then with my current job I have to do even more stringent tests like hair follicle drug test for access to some clients sites. The last site I had to get access for required a strict background check as well. They sent me a copy of the results and it went back 10 years and included every single parking ticket, speeding ticket, registration, warning, etc. pretty wild.

I had quite a few drug tests in military. I think it was social security number driven. Cuz i never did drugs. Security clearances are fun too:rolleyes:

I had many drug tests as well. All came back negative.

I knew lots of cats that may have regularly enjoyed the " left handed cigarettes". They never got asked to do a whizz quizz.

Myself and a few other drinkers were regularly asked to " donate" a specimen.

My theory is the company knew they couldn't keep workers if they showed the door to the weed smokers, so the " random" drug test was skewed to tap the peeps that liked to tip a few. Can't fire someone who enjoys a drink.

There Are No Conspiracies and There are No Coincidences; when the ‘random drug test’ calls on me, it occurs several rounds consecutively. :spy::spy::spy:

Cole and I cleaned up a few sticks and rocks and put some seed down, still got a hot mess but hunting season is coming up soon and we need something to hunt over.

This is from the end looking toward the blind, about 100 yards.

Well, I don't think there is a single tree or bush left on the old property now.
