I get a service first thing in the morning. The customer also wants his trailer lights looked at because they don't work.
I narrow it down to the converter which is buried behind the back seat. He declines fixing it saying, "I'll do it myself at my house."

This coming in to the office three days a week thing starting yesterday is pain in the ass.

People are talking about complaining about it already because it's pointless... and I agree.

It's only day two in the office, and I'm already over it.

 

If I had to have a "traditional office job" if you like I would go absolutely mental. There is a zero % I could do it.

 

The thing now is that "thanks" to covid, everyone figured out that what we do can absolutely be done 100% remotely. There is no need nor point to come in to the office to work, unless it's for some BS in person meeting. Otherwise, we shouldn't be in the office. Especially since during and right after covid they hired people that are 100% remote.

 

I think covid proved that to be true for many jobs.

 

Definitely. No doubt about it.

 

As far as working in the office, they're just trying to justify all the rental space they're paying for that. Nobody's in there really screws up their minds.

And the high architecture try to justify why they they are getting what they get paid. And it's noted a supervise harass. Haring b**** at that they can't do directly.

Totally is for so many roles.

Definitely re the real estate, my place owns 2 large buildings and rents space in a third in Boston. We had started subbing some of the rental out prior to 2020, not sure how much space or time left. No need to rent anyway, plus we could sell one of the 2 as well. Problem then is who buys and how much blah blah..they recently started making higher level only people come in 2 days. Makes sense for some but not others..managers are there but their people aren't. Analyst/data folks maybe I could see it.
