Yup, I have to agree, by far the best truck I’ve owned. I was skeptical of the turbo 4 but after test driving one I was not concerned about power and torque. This powetrain is superb ! It’s a fun truck to drive as well and the ride is pretty damn good . I’m not a techie but this camera system is a game changer as are the drive modes ( I have 6 ) and the AVS.

I have nothing bad to say about my 2024 TRD OR. My last vehicle was a 2008 TRD OR that I purchased new from the dealer. After 400,000 miles, she finally gave up. Other than the expense, I love everything about my 2024. It's super comfortable, has a smooth ride, and plenty of power. The upgrades to the tow package and general technology are my favorite things about this truck. So far, I wouldn't change a thing.
We took it off road at the beach this weekend and the MTS worked beautifully. I was on a mix of light, dry sand, and soft wet sand. At no point did I feel like I was in trouble. In fact, the new suspension worked so well that my wife said it's the first time in years that driving in the ruts hasn't hurt her bad neck.
I'll post back if I have issues, but so far, it's great.

I agree. I've been thoroughly impressed with the power. I was concerned about going from my old 4.0L 2nd gen to a 4 cylinder turbo, but it beats it hands down in every aspect. I also love the drcc on the highway.

My impressions match the consensus here. Coming from a 2nd gen, a clear step up in power, torque, handling and overall drive. I like it to the point where other than a more capable tire and a topper, I'll likely leave it be.

I am absolutely loving mine! Drives like a dream, but has power when you need it. Also way more comfortable and spacious than I thought a midsize truck could be. I will own this one for a long time.

Echoing what others have said here. I've only had mine a few weeks, but it's really fun to drive, drives way better than what I expected. Great control, acceleration/braking. The safety camera system and the blind spot alert are terrific, imo. Very responsive steering. My other vehicle is a 2008 Honda pilot, and when I went to drive that again, in comparison it felt like the steering wheel was moving through wet concrete. I'm still experimenting with the DAC and MTS, but so far they work great. I like the adjustability of the front seats. Only thing I don't like is trying to park it in tight parking lots, but the cameras make it easier.

I got a 24 Tacoma TRD sport w/ upgrade package in March. Maybe the first person in my area to get one. I have been very happy so far. Great power. Fun to drive. Still hoping gas mileage will creep up to the 20/24 range. I'm still around 18.4 average MPG after about 5K miles. Probably the biggest complaints are for myself that I didn't wait a little longer to pull the trigger. 1. I wish I waited for a premium upgrade package. (Yes, I'm just a bougie bitch). 2. A lot of accessories and parts have been slow to come out. I was rear ended a couple months after I got it and it dented the bumper. The shop messed up the repair and I'm still waiting for parts to actually fix it.

I am coming from all the gen tacomas. The 2016 limited no negative things to say was solid. The 2020 Limited tacoma was also solid nothing negative. 2024 tacoma limited without MAX have to convince myself that its worth it, specially cause it costed about $57800 out the door before financing. First time having heart burn from owning a tacoma all my life. Lots of little bull shit to have to deal with.

Love it, it drives so nice. Plenty of power, no gear hunting, great brakes. We had a 40-50mph crosswind the other day and the truck didn't care, it also handles road crown and bumps amazingly well. Nothing seems to upset it on the hwy. I can only hope for good reliability which is still an unknown. My only wish is for someone to develop a driver's grab handle, I hate smushing the side of the seat.

It's easily the best Tacoma that Toyota has ever produced.

    They absolutely nailed the drivetrain.

That said, I have a list of complaints a mile long, and ever since we got our Canyon AT4X, I kind of hate driving the Tacoma, so I gave it to my girlfriend.

Absolutely. Don't let the negative post detour you. Also, please dont drive one unless you want to buy a new truck!

The true test of the 4th Gen gassers wont be for at least five years as the trucks begin to approach 100K miles and turbos/engines begin to accrue heat and mechanical stress. I still think its a disappointing platform given negligible efficiency gains and reduced range versus the antiquated V6.

I'll join the list of happy customers.

Only complaint for me is an odd chirp/squeak associated with some AC component in the engine bay. I'll get it checked at some point.

I love my 4th gen. It’s a huge upgrade coming from my 2nd and 3rd gens. Drivetrain and ride quality are vastly improved, and I love all the modern tech. My only disappointment is the gas mileage. I average 21mpg which is about the same I was getting with my 2nd and 3rd gens.

No real complaints for my base Off-Road, its quiet, more powerful, rides way better than my 3rd gen. Only minor complaints are lack of customizing on the radio layouts and the exhaust hanging out the side. Only 1K in so far, wifey drives it day to day, I get her on weekends :)
