I currently have a camouflage Kawi... it's wrong... but was a couple grand cheaper.

Got offered a 2019 indian FTR for the S1000XR this morning. Was tempted for about three seconds, always wanted to try one since they came back out but nah, not a long term bike for me.

The amount of googling I need to do to keep up with this thread is wild hahaha. Cool looking bike though, what are your plans for the next long term one?

    Oooof.

So tested out the VE33s last week in the rocks and it was super grippy. Doing my first enduro this weekend, I just want to not get a DNF

Nice. Enduro as in sprint enduro? I've wanted to do one but mostly harescramble series around here.

The ve33s is definitely a good tire. The at81ex has more grip so I think that's my preference

It's actually an old school time keeping one. There are tons of that style still in ECEA. Def think it helps cater to the slower guys like me better, I am slow but consistent and can always keep pushing even if I am getting close to my limit. A 1 minute break is more than enough to get me recovered enough. I think a harescramble sounds terrible to me, I don't think I would be good at fighting for position. I think a sprint enduro would also be fun just to not worry about timekeeping but still spread out vs harescrambles.

Yeah I plan on trying that at81ex next. The shinko 525 was also nice since it comes in some meatier sizes for the heavy rocks but I think my ve-33 and m59 front combo is ideal for a mix of terrain when I go back to the sandbox in the pines.

Might try and pick up a used ktm 1090/1190/1290 adv in the spring. Or maybe a new F900GS.. still unsure. Floated the idea last night past my wife of trading in the s1000xr and my f800gs towards an f900gs but who knows what i’ll do. I’m all over the place these days hah.

IRC just released a 140 width ve33s as well. Not sure if you follow on IG.

I'm running the m59 too. I had some complaints though this ride. I washed the front 3 times. Two were hitting a rock (maybe the rock moved) but not something I expected and then the low side that resulted in that bruise

I went out on the Klx after golf this morning. I tell you after riding that bike I don’t even want a super sport. The Klx just flat out rocks. The exhaust, upright riding and handles very well even with the 50/50 tires that come on it stock. When these wear out I will get some more street oriented tires for it. It’s just so easy to throw around.
