It's less Tacoma and more mod
That's a possibility, with the BMW unit what is mounting a bar to it like?

you can either just keep the actuator bit and weld,
    upload_2024-9-5_12-52-31.png

or what I'm thinking to do since the bar is the right length for the frame rail already, just make arms

    forgive my concept art

Both on and offroad. Its helped on-road for me I feel. Sure there's a bit more body roll on tighter curves. But you dont get thrown side to side when hitting a minor dip in the road which i experience with my 2nd gen tacoma. I really only recommend it on trucks with a bit stiffer suspension which usually comes naturally with lifting them.

Threw mine in the scrap pile about 10 years ago now off my 1st gen. It only ever sees the dirt and rocks now. Tempted to remove it from my 2nd gen with mostly stock suspension because its that bad.

    Thats a new one.

That said, you're running nice coilovers and springs so you should not feel the need for it. The SAW COs will dampen more than enough to not need it. Plus the ride over everything else is just way better.

I put mine back on when my front tires started losing traction on turns

Running 650 springs with no extra load up front too

Fatigue? ! I'd expect a non stock suspension setup to be stressing the bar more, and in a different attitude than the stock setup, so that's my vote. Also the location and break plane could tell you more about what happened if you look closely. I know that it is popular opinion that removing it is A-OK. Age? was this the original sway bar or was it replaced at some time?

The bar is under constant tension so after 25 years for a defect to pop up isn't too unusual. As long as you have upgraded (stiffer) springs you should be ok to remove it. The reason it is there is to force the front end to push and prevent rollovers. Stiffer springs can help with that behavior.

Isn’t the sway bar only under tension when cornering? Regular driving won’t introduce much force. Even if you’re lifted 3” the bar is level on each side but the end links and bushings are pushed to a higher angle not contributing to the twist of the bar

I want to see how those work for you.
I have some 285/75R17's that would require A LOT of trimming, hammering, massaging and spacers to get them to work on these wheels.

All original with 195K miles. Purchased some 22 years ago with an 18 year gap of ownership.
Quite awesome. My son is getting my recently re-acquired 95.5 Taco. He has been talking about taking it to shows as a historic vehicle. I'm thinking, what about your 1969 VW Bug? He is super excited to get this truck back on the road.

Today was day 3 of my T-belt and water pump job for him. As you can tell, I am taking my time. No rush really. This is the very first time I have ever done a job like this so casually. I am loving it. Got the belt on today with new tension actuator. Aisin full kit, rotated around once before pulling the pin. Rotated again to verify alignments, installed lower cover and rotated again to find the same results. I did realize when starting to install the belts, that I need to find another alternator tension bolt assembly. When removing them, I saw it must have broke sometime. Trying to get something in there to hold tension and keep it to tighten the bolt was a PITA.

Maybe I will get some more work in tomorrow. It is scheduled for 40-60% rain all day. Maybe I won't. I did receive today a used tailgate my buddy up in VA found at a P&P, same color and not all dinged up for $70, along with replacement clutch and brake pedals I need to get back in sometime also.

    Enjoy all,
    Mike

Hey when I broke my alternator tensioner bolt thingy, I was pleased to find out the dealership had a replacement in stock. If you don't like picking through junkyards, it's an option.

Original from 1995... Your theory makes sense. Just thought it seemed kinda weird but I have been fairly happy with leaving it off beside getting used to the new amount body roll. Its tollerable and as @Blackdawg was suggesting the SAW coilovers do a decent job at mitigating the body roll themselves.
