I must have annoyed them at this point, I’ve sent 3 emails and 4 texts today and have had no response.

My barber told me a story of a time he tried to trade in a car at a dealer I used to work at. They tried the you can’t have your keys trick. He called the police to report a stolen car. He got his keys and never bought anything from that dealer, or manufacturer again.

@six5crèéd The first page of this thread is very impressive. Now all you need to figure out, is how to build a miniature tractor to use all of those farm tools.

If you look through the thread ( all 4800+ pages ;) ) you will find all kinds of "saved from the brink of death & more" repairs/modifications @six5crèéd makes in his day to day work -- he is a very impressive fellow.:bowdown::bowdown:

And therein lies the problem, 4800 pages, nope, not going there. I might bounce around but I'm not going through page by page.

    I don't blame you there. ;)

There is a lot of good entertainment along the way though. :D

I think that was the only time I was involved in something like that.

    Send one more that says:

I guess you do not want to earn my business.

Of that I have no doubt. Even though I don't know him, I've read many of his posts and comments over the years I've been here on TW.

Not sales related but these stories remind me of one my bud told me recently.

His daughter is a Service Manager at a Chevy dealership. They had just done an emergency repair of some sort on Memorial Day weekend for some lady. The customer wanted to take the car for a test drive before paying the bill, a few hundred bucks.

The answer was no. You get your car when you pay. The woman caused a scene with all sorts of histrionics and accusations of the dealership stealing her car. The customer was going to call the police and post all sorts of nasty crap online. She left in a huff.

An hour or so the woman comes back demanding to see her car. Ann, my friend’s daughter who’s been dealing with the customer the whole time, tells the mechanic to put the car on a lift and raise it. She escorts the woman to see her car up there and the woman goes on a tirad of expletives and vulgarities. The theory was the customer brought a spare key and was just going to drive off.

She had absolutely no intention of paying for the repair.

Got to say Ann’s an impressive young lady who’s a kick ass mechanic and worldly beyond her years.

Good morning and Happy Friday everyone :hattip:

Shout out to my bud, the OP and every parent out there who puts in the love, time and effort to do parenting right

I came out to get in the car this morning and it was dark, so dark I looked up and all I could see were stars. So thankful and blessed to be living where we are.

Good morning shop crew :hattip: Been busy the past 2 days babysitting the grandkids. Mom and Dad both had to work late both nights too. Made for some long, busy days, I’m looking forward to a much slower pace today.

    Ya'll have a great Friday!

    Morning shop:hattip:

I've started my 4 day weeks so today is a day "off" for me. Wife was kind enough to give me something to do though..

She loves plants. There's something like 40 house plants around in different rooms. Recently we've had an explosion of fungus gnats. They are harmless but annoying. So I'm on an exterminator rampage today. We have a light trap that usually keeps them in check. I've gone around and sprinkled some granulated insect killer in all the pots. Now we wait. I also placed a glue trap near the more heavily populated areas :infantry:
